Not on period - pregnancy test negative.

On second thought, sorry for this (actually kind of silly) question...
I should just wait and see, and if my period really doesn't come, test again... It's weird how uncertainty about getting pregnant can sometimes be so overwhelming that you stop thinking logically, even though you normally can. I'm just going to wait and test again if it doesn't come...

    Hi Arida, this is not a silly question at all. I can imagine you're feeling anxious. You can always take another test tomorrow morning if you'd like, then you'll probably have certainty.

    Oh, no excuses at all!! I also had 3 or 4 negative tests in the first week!! I eventually tested with a Clear Blue Digital with pregnancy indicator and that was positive!! I also asked the pharmacy for a very sensitive test, and she handed me one!!

    Funny that you're apologizing for that. You really don't need to!!
    I'd really wait a bit longer. It's not nice at all to keep getting negative tests. With a little more patience, you'll hopefully get a very clear positive test soon!!

    I waited a full week! (It did tickle me a bit, but I really didn't want to be disappointed!)

    I just reread what I had written and realized that the most logical thing, and really the only thing you can do, is to wait. I thought that people who have been trying to get pregnant for a long time might find this hurtful, which of course wasn't my intention. But anyway. I've decided to wait a bit longer. I had wanted to go buy a test (Clear Blue) today, but I managed to stop myself, haha. I've promised myself to take one on Friday if my period still hasn't come.

    Hi everyone.
    I took a test, just couldn't wait. I thought I'd get two, if it's negative I can test again on Friday. I bought a Clear Blue digital.
    I'm pregnant!! woohoooo!
    The test says 1-2 weeks, so according to what doctors calculate I'd be 3-4 weeks pregnant now. I'm so happy!
    Going on holiday first in 1.5 weeks. We'll be away for 3 weeks, and then I'll call the midwife, or should I do that sooner???

    You should definitely call right away. It can get busy sometimes!

    Oh, and stop by the drugstore for prenatal vitamins/folic acid if you haven't already.

    Hi Aradia,

    I'd call right away so you have some outlook before the holiday. Exciting! Welcome to the pregnant ladies club, it's a really nice one in my opinion... Folic acid is super good, keep taking it together with Davitamon for pregnant women... If it doesn't help, it certainly won't hurt, right...

    Let me know how everything goes. Is this your first pregnancy?

    Hi Ju,

    Yes, it's my first pregnancy, so everything is new and super exciting!
    I find it (even though I've only known for a few hours myself) already hard to keep my mouth shut about it, haha. Good thing we're going on vacation then, you can't accidentally blab or anything haha. By the time we're back, it'll only be a little while before we can tell. It can stay between my ears, but I feel different! I had it last night, even though I hadn't had a positive test yet. I told my partner that (despite the negative test Monday) I still thought I was pregnant, I just have that feeling. I can't describe it but I just felt it, in my belly. Maybe it's just in my head, especially now that I have confirmation it could all be in my head. Maybe not though haha, it's all so new. I find it all really exciting! I am really, really happy though

    By the way, I had the same thought.. I had a strange feeling and my breasts were getting bigger.
    Turns out I was also pregnant!! Hihi!!

    Yeah, it's exciting too, and enjoy your well-deserved vacation.. Yes, it's true that your body will behave differently when you're pregnant. If you have questions, post them on the forum and there's always someone who will answer..
    You won't be judged or criticized, but treated nicely in a very appropriate way..

    Thanks everyone!
    I've signed up with the midwife, they'll call me to schedule an appointment. I'll definitely make it after our vacation. Then I'll be 8-9 weeks along, which should also be about right for the first appointment, I think, so that works out perfectly.
    First, though, I still have one more week of work, and then I'll enjoy our three weeks of vacation

    Definitely looking forward to it. I'll try to relax haha, but it's easier on vacation!
    It's still a bit hard to wrap my head around. I know it's happening, we talk about it a lot, but it still feels so unreal, even though I do have the cramps. I'm going to enjoy the vacation, and after that, of course, I'll enjoy it too. And by then, we can start telling people. We're really looking forward to it haha, and curious about the reactions. With some people, you can kind of guess how they'll react, and with others, it's a mystery to us how they'll react. So fun haha. For now, it's just imagining it hihi, but before we know it, we'll be able to tell everyone

    Hi, I'm Jamie and I'm 23.
    I'm now 3 weeks overdue,
    feeling tired, back pain, frequent urination and terribly emotional.

    Did 2 tests, both negative...
    so went to the doctor this morning, and of course he doesn't rule anything out..
    Suggested testing again in a week or two,
    and if my period still hasn't come then he wants to do an ultrasound...
    and according to my calculations that would be the 12-week scan...

    He didn't say it could be anything else,
    and also advised me to start taking folic acid right away, and of course stop smoking....

    So my dear boyfriend is now getting folic acid for me,
    and we're going to pick up a test over the weekend...
    This time trying a slightly more sensitive one, I think Clearblue... or if anyone else knows something
