Thick white discharge before or after ovulation

Hey hey!!

I didn't get any morning sickness this month, wanted to try without it once! But I've got thick white discharge in weeks 10 and 11. Does that mean my ovulation has already passed or is it still to come? I'm feeling a bit unsure now, I often have short cycles, like 24 days, then 26, then 28, never longer! Hope someone can tell me more about what that discharge is.

Love, tuttie

Hey Tutti, I've never used ovulation tests. When I was pregnant with our youngest, I started paying attention to my discharge and temperature to figure out my ovulation. For me, it becomes clear and stretchy, almost watery. Then it turns white and creamy, but that could just as well be during your fertile period. You could try that for a few cycles...or not if you happen to get pregnant, of course!

    Tuttige,
I also started paying attention last month and did some ovulation tests to be sure, but I could already tell from my discharge.

4 days before my egg, my discharge clearly changed—it sounds gross, but a whole chunk of mucus really fell into my underwear, and it was indeed stretchy. This was 4 days before my egg; at that point, it still looked a bit milky but very stretchy. On the day of my ovulation and the day before, I had really clear mucus that looked like raw egg white.

Now I'm 4 days past my egg, and it's grainy and dry again.....

So it's really visible in your discharge; you just have to get good at it haha!
