I had a few parties and was drinking quite a bit. I also hadn't started taking folic acid yet. I think a fetus is well protected in that case.

What an incredibly moralizing bullshit I'm reading here... No, Olivia Anna, you obviously don't understand why someone would have an abortion under rape, and the reason is very simple; you've never experienced it yourself. Keep those opinions to yourself; no one wants to hear them.

I also read this forum because I’ve been trying to get pregnant for a few months now, but it hasn’t worked yet. I’ve already quit smoking for 5 months. I do enjoy a glass of cava sometimes. I always try to wait until after my period before drinking. But sometimes I still have one and then I think, maybe it worked this time. But I try not to feel guilty about it.

Olivia-Anna... I think abortion is a right that women have. (Well, in the right stages, of course.) Maybe just consider that there might be women here who had an abortion before they had their child. I find the way it's being discussed quite harsh? It's a pretty heavy topic to just casually say something like "murdering your sister or brother"?? Wow... (By the way, I haven't had an abortion myself.) I just want to stand up for the women who, for whatever reason, support it. You don't just do something like that lightly.

    Sorry, wrong account

@olivia I don't know if you're still active here, but you could also, for example, say that he was raped, so you couldn't do anything about it. Don't you think you have the right to??? ... And besides, it's a bit off-topic since this is about alcohol during early pregnancy.

Well, I’m not judging anyone at all... And girl, I think there’s nothing more you can do about it now. And from here on out, the best thing you can do for your baby is to step away from the stress, worries, and guilt, and look at yourself gently and with love toward the baby in your belly! Those wines aren’t going away anyway. But positive thoughts can’t hurt, right?

But I also don’t think it’s entirely fair to attack Lotte so harshly right now... I was trying for half a year (and even did an IUI), and I didn’t drink a single drop during all that time! I was already scared to touch more than two cups of coffee a day...:’) No matter how hopeless and stressful it was... I only started “letting loose” with coffee when I got a negative test or my period (for 1 day). And as for alcohol, I was afraid it would lower my chances. So I totally get/relate to how, when you long for a baby like this, you want to be extra careful with everything throughout the ENTIRE process.

So it’s not Katie but Tamie... And once again, I don’t condemn anyone at all!
But I do think that another sound should also be heard!
