pregnancy rights in Germany

Hi everyone,

I have a question and hope that maybe one of you knows something about this.

My question is...
I work in Germany and live in the Netherlands...
Fortunately, I have a permanent contract and know that my employer is obligated to pay me 100%...

But my question is: how many weeks of leave am I entitled to? What are my rights if my employer fires me after the leave? Because I know that my boss won't be happy that I'm not 100% present during the leave, but he has to pay me for the entire leave.
Can such an employer fire me after the leave?

Maybe someone can help me or knows more about this, or is someone in the same situation...

I'd love to hear from you.

Yeah, after your maternity leave, that’s allowed in the Netherlands too, I believe it’s still allowed nowadays.
I live in Germany myself but moved there just before my maternity leave and took the plunge after giving birth. I had all the German rights afterwards... but that wasn’t your question, of course.
