Oh funny! I’m in that too. I say “crotch” when I mean my vagina. For the male part, indeed “dick”.

I’m curious how you’re going to solve it..

Wow, that's fantastic! I'll just read along for now, because I'm afraid it won't even last a year for us either

Oh yeah, I had that once too.. I think you'd better not be too tense. She asked if it hurt because I had some blood. I just said that I wasn't in pain, but that mums sometimes bleed and it'll be fine again.. Yeah, what else do you say..

My daughter knows there's a difference between boys and girls. I explained that to her. So girls have a "crotch" and boys have a "dick". We talked about it with friends yesterday, one of them is Surinamese and they call a vagina "puni".. that's another option too.

    Tough stuff, raising kids

I don't really have a clue yet what we're going to call it.. I think "Piemel" too. Although my husband thinks it's a silly word. But that's probably some inferiority complex thing I guess
For a girl, I don't really know. I once heard "Vagina" from a little girl at work. I couldn't stop laughing so that's definitely not it.
"Spleetje" isn't really my thing either.. I'll ask my parents how they solved it.. I think all kids used to have a "plassertje" back in the day.. And men had a "piemel" and women had a vagina or something like that.

I sometimes see my little girls start laughing and pointing at their dad when he washes their hair in the bath. My husband always says, "Not nice, don't look at papa," to make sure it doesn't become a habit.

But sometimes when I get dressed and they giggle together about my vagina because I’m naked, I ask, “Why are you laughing?” They also look like that as they grow older. But I call it in my husband’s language “pepe.” And from him, “piet piet,” or I sometimes joke, “Are you laughing at papa’s snake?” Then they laugh a bit and forget about it again. But my youngest daughter sometimes says to me, “Mama, that’s called a penis.” I say, “Yes, you’re right, but please call it ‘piet,’ okay?” Otherwise, it doesn’t sound polite, and we never say it in front of other people. Then my daughters also say, “No, Mama, of course not!” And I feel so embarrassed, but it’s so cute. But nowadays, when I sometimes get dressed and the door is slightly open, my girls say, “Mama, cover yourself, the door is slightly open.” I usually say, “Yes, good idea, I’ll close it.” I find it so cute when they react like that to me.

Sorry, the keys were acting up. I meant "piepie" which I use for them, from their dad. And sometimes as a joke, "slang." And then I say papa has a "slang," we have a flat pancake. But I never say vagina; I call it "pepe" in my husband's language. So that's how we handle it.

Dad eats snakes and mom eats pancakes? Hihihi! If you ever get caught by the little ones, you can say that snakes love eating pancakes!
  9. Madelene #10

    hahaha yes indeed Vivian
Yeah you know that snake thing was a joke but I'd rather hear that than "piemel".
But I do say when my youngest says "mama that's a piemel", I say yes dear actually it is but let's call it "pie pie" instead, that sounds more proper.
So that's how I explain it.
And flat pancake yeah that's what I call it of ours hi hi
I'd rather have that than vagina I thought what does it look like a flat pancake so that's where that came from

And what I wanted to add is:
I know that outside the house they'll probably pick up the word "piemel" anyway, and I'd like them to know that's what it's called, but I explain to them that it doesn't sound very nice.
So that they'd be better off using another word, like "pie pie".
  11. Madelene #12

But nice find, Vivian. I hadn't looked at it like that yet
  12. Madelene #13

that sounded pretty funny for the kids, actually.
but honestly, mine looks like that too.
  13. Vivian #14

Hihi! As long as it's not a bacon pancake! Well, what does mine look like then... Anyone have ideas on how to describe your own kitty? Haha, this is fun again! I'm thinking little mussel?
  14. Madelene #15

    Mosseltje is cute

Super fun, all those stories! Thanks, girls... Anybody else?

We're just being very lighthearted about it. Our little boy calls his penis "piepie" and has now started saying that papa has a "piepie" and mama doesn't.
  18. ano Guest #19

Dad has a penis and mom has a vagina
  19. Femke Guest #20

We feel you too, but it's nice to hear how your experiences are going! I think "piemel" is fine for boys, but for girls... It's weird that it's harder there!

As for having sex; we do it in the morning and just have a box of tissues for the fluids But missionary position... The little one is still too small to actually come to us, so we haven't thought about it yet. I don't want the door closed! Too unsafe, I want to be able to listen... How do you guys handle that?
