    Congratulations on your pregnancy! So if I understand correctly, you only tested for the faint line 8 days after your missed period? And it became clearer later? I'm 4 days past my missed period today and tested negative this morning. I didn't have bleeding last Wednesday, but a few days before that I had some bleeding (shorter and lighter than usual), and I thought it might be implantation bleeding, but now I'm "afraid" it was just my period. Your story gives me a little hope that I might still be pregnant, but that it just takes longer for it to show up on a test. I don't really have any symptoms, except that I feel like I'm urinating more often and getting little twinges in the lower part of my abdomen towards my groin, but I don't think much of that. It could be anything. It was the bleeding, which was different from usual, that made me think I might be pregnant, so that negative test this morning was really disappointing. I've accepted it by now, but after reading your story, I think I'll just test again next weekend and keep working until then...

    Hi Bunny,

    That's right, I only tested 8 days past my due date.
    I had an irregular cycle because I had just stopped using contraception 2.5 months prior.
    Don't rely too much on "symptoms"; I decided to take a test because I was also experiencing sharp pains in my lower abdomen and, indeed, needing to pee more often.
    Other than that, I didn't have any other symptoms.
    I'm pregnant now and, aside from those two issues, I've started having sore breasts that have grown two cup sizes, and I'm a bit more irritable than usual.

    I'm 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant today and had to throw up for the first time today because of the smell of a toasted sandwich...

    The photo is too blurry for me to judge.
    You can do two things.
    Either get a blood test done at your GP's office.
    Or test again in 2 days and see if the line becomes clearer.

    I assume the negative result just shows one line, and you don’t see anything if it’s just the control line? Just tested, the line remains.

    I really do see 2 clear lines!
    Congratulations on your pregnancy!
    If I were you, I’d get a Clearblue test that also shows how far along you are.
    That gave me so much peace of mind!

    And it's true: 1 stripe is negative and 2 stripes are positive!

    Yeah, I think testing at Kruidvat is already quite reliable, and normally it should stay white for Omo, but the control line is negative and I really have two..... I think I'm still very early according to my clock lala........

    So exciting........... but for the last time my question: normally if everything's fine you only see one little line right? They're both purple....

    If there's nothing, you won't see a second line either! You see 2 clear lines! And 2 lines means positive! I just looked at your photos and on each test you can clearly see a second line! Are there any other women you know who are pregnant that you can chat with?

    Okay, I think I'm going crazy from hearing so much on forums. But a line is a line, no matter what shape it's in. I actually don't know anyone else who's pregnant... except you and Mandy, whom I chatted with.

    Some people on another forum said no to my photos, saying they're control lines, but then you'd only have one line and your test would still be negative, right?
