    Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. I took a pregnancy test on the 6th-12th, and the second line was very faint, but I'm already a week late. Does this mean I'm pregnant?
I already called my GP, and she told me to take another test in a week, but I can hardly wait... Could I take it earlier?
    Greetings from Cindy

Hi Cindy, I was pregnant both times I got a faint line. Your HCG seems to double every two days, so I think if you take another test now, it could definitely be darker. Which test did you use? My own experience is that the Kruidvat test with the dropper is very sensitive; maybe you could try that one. Good luck and congratulations in advance!

Thank you for your reply. I did indeed use the Kruidvat tests, 2 for 5 euros. The first one was negative, and the second one was positive. But I’m going to do another test next Thursday to see if that one is positive again. Because I’ve had light brown spotting for the past hour, I don’t know if that means anything? Sorry for the questions...

Hi Cindy, you don't need to worry immediately about light brown discharge it's old blood, not fresh.
Hopefully you'll get a positive test this week, but if I follow everything, I think I can already cautiously congratulate you!
Let me know, girl, and lots of luck!!!

Well girls, I think something went wrong. Unfortunately, I got my period today... Should I take the second test or just let it go... I called the doctor this afternoon and need to make an appointment with the gynecologist, just to be safe. I also need to keep taking folic acid, but since I have epilepsy, they want to test everything just to be sure. I'll keep you posted once I have an appointment...

    hi hi,
    here I am again...
I thought I got my period yesterday, but luckily it stopped today. I was so super nervous that I was afraid something was wrong.
I did a digital test this morning (I just couldn't wait), and luckily it was positive, so I really think it was implantation bleeding...
I also made an appointment with the gynecologist right away. I can only go there on January 14th, so I still have to wait a bit...
If I have more news, I'll let you know.

    Hi hi,

I took a DA store-brand pregnancy test on 19-1-2013. A very faint line appeared after the three-minute wait time. Since I'm showing pregnancy symptoms like sore breasts, lower back pain, occasional twinges in my uterus, and morning sickness, I think I'm pregnant, but it was really a very light, vague line... I keep reading stories everywhere that DA store-brand tests aren't reliable... so I'm going to the GP on Monday just to be sure.

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this and what you should tell the GP after such a vague test result...

    Best, Janneke!

On 21-01-2013 at 13:20 I have an appointment with the midwife, yay! At least I don't have to wait so long... hopefully the results will be positive too!
    I'll keep you posted!

    Greetings, Janneke

    Hi ladies,
I just want to respond to those boring faint lines on pregnancy tests. One says this, the other says that. I have 7 kids and know what to expect from tests. I’ve also had tests where the lines were barely visible, even after testing for a week, they weren’t really visible. But I still ended up with 7 kids. I’ve had tests where I saw a white line and was still pregnant. I’ve even had a blood test come back negative while I was pregnant. I know that I produce very little hCG until 8-9 weeks of pregnancy. But that doesn’t mean anything; I still have healthy kids. I just want to tell you, if you strongly feel like you’re pregnant, go with that feeling. Consider the faint line as pregnant and think that way, then wait calmly to test again in a week. I know it’s hard; you just want confirmation. But patience saves money.

    Hi,

I was supposed to get my period last Friday, but it didn’t show up. Since I really wanted to celebrate Carnival that weekend, I took a test on Saturday morning and it was negative. So off to celebrate Carnival. When I got home, I realized I still hadn’t gotten my period, so I took another test (after having a drink or two). That one was also negative. Then I had a few busy days at work and didn’t think about it anymore until I took another test on the morning of Feb 13th because I still hadn’t gotten my period. I quickly started doubting whether I had seen a very faint second line, but after 5 minutes it became clearer and clearer... pregnant!!

At the end of the day, I did have a bit of tender breasts, but that’s all, which makes it still feel a bit surreal. I’m kind of waiting for the nausea to start (my sister was so nauseous during her first 5 months that she felt like she was on a boat in a very rough sea 24/7).

    Greetings

Pauline, I just went through the exact same thing with those pregnancy tests.
On Sunday I took a test and saw a very faint second line. Today (3 days later) I took another one and it was negative, no second line. Then I took a Clearblue test where you have to insert the test strip into a digital reader, and it said (not pregnant). But when I took the strip out, I saw another faint second line!!
What should I do now? I'm going completely crazy!
My last cycle was 45 days long, so based on that, I tested a week too early.

    Can you please help me?

    Hi everyone,

I hope you can help me. I'm now 6 days overdue. I took a test last Monday and it was negative. On Wednesday I took another test and after an hour there was a very faint line. Today I took another test and it's the same as Wednesday. What should I make of this?

    Love,

    Hi everyone,

I'm a 16-year-old girl and I have an IUD. Last week I took a pregnancy test and got a very faint pink line. Three days before that, I had some bleeding—I thought my period was coming, but I kept feeling nauseous and my breasts became very tender. Does this mean I'm pregnant? Should I take another test? Please help, I don't know what to do or think.

    Love,

    Hi ladies

I was also at Kinderwens in Leiderdorp. I had IUI done 4 times, and now it turns out I'm on my period. I was so hopeless. But after two days, I did a pregnancy test and saw a red line. Then when I went back to check, I saw a faint line. I don't know if I'm pregnant. I'll call the hospital on Monday.

If you really want to know for sure, you can get a blood test. I did that too, because I just couldn’t believe after three tests that I was pregnant. A blood test is 100% reliable.
  18. shelly Guest #38

It's the same with me, but I don't know if it's positive.

Hi hi ladies, can you help me? I had a faint line (visible without squinting) on the €5 Kruidvat test yesterday and today. The weird thing is, I thought I had my period on Thursday the 15th. I had quite sharp pains on the right side that afternoon that really hurt, but they went away later. In the evening, I started bleeding (4 days early), which lasted until Sunday the 18th. But I just felt something was different: tender breasts, waves of nausea, and very tired. So I thought I'd take a test, which I did last night, and got a second line, and this morning it's a bit clearer, though still very faint. So, what could it be? Hope you can help me. I'm going crazy with the uncertainty

    hey anonymous
i think you're probably pregnant...and that those twinges were implantation, and the blood too. i'd get a blood test done then, that'll give you clarity.
    good luck!
