pregnancy test very faint positive pregnant?

Pauline
I got a very faint second line on my pregnancy test on 8/2. Is this positive or not?

I took DA drogist tests on 8/2, 11/2, and 12/2, and all three had the same result.

On 12/2 and 16/2, I also got a very faint line with kv 2v5.

CB digital said negative this afternoon, probably because there was still too little hCG, but when I took the test strip out, I did see the second line faintly.

Would you guys mind taking a look at the photo of my first test and giving your opinion? It's so unclear for me. I'll upload the photo to my profile.

Love, Pauline

I think I can congratulate you if I see this

Hi Pauline, do you know when your period was supposed to start? Sometimes it's better to test a few days after your missed period. But I do see a faint line, and a line is a line. So I'd say you're pregnant, congratulations! Just test again next week, and then you'll know for sure. Kisses, Lins

I think it's also true that a line is a line. They always start out very faint when you're only just pregnant, but after a few days, you should be able to see it better if you take the test again.

Hey, I also had a faint line. I was pretty sure I was pregnant because I was late. I went to my GP to get my blood tested and turns out I was... I'm already 24 weeks and 4 days pregnant now.

Looks pretty positive! A little HCG is still pregnant, right? I don't think it's necessary, but if I were you, I'd just take another test, like a Clearblue test with week indicator. I've never used that myself, but in your case, I think it would completely ease your mind. Congratulations! :-)

    I think we're done with that :-)

Pauline, do you have any news to share??

I did a CB pregnancy test this morning, and it showed not pregnant.
I’ll do one last regular test tomorrow, and if it also shows a faint line, then I’m definitely pregnant.

Did a TP test this morning.
It's one of those tests where a plus sign should appear, but I can't see a plus sign, only a negative line.
This is a bit weird and I don't understand anything anymore.
I think I'll call the GP on Monday to see if they can do a blood test.

I found this little bit on a forum:

During one of my previous pregnancies, I had the same experience with a test. My GP told me then: if you take a test and it starts to work, and after a few minutes the test line and the control line appear, then you're pregnant. Some tests react very quickly, and you can actually see right away if you blink once that the test is positive, but some tests can also react very slowly. Sometimes because you just have very little hCG in your urine. These tests are still valid, though. Your pregnancy is just very, very early at that point. You also still have to keep in mind that it could go wrong because it's still so very early.

So if your test shows two lines, according to my GP, you're pregnant.

    So I cautiously congratulate you.

P.S. I turned out to be pregnant too.

If you really want to know for sure, you can indeed call your GP. Otherwise, try another test later this week, but I think you're pregnant because a line is a line, no matter how faint it is. Good luck with it, Linsey

    Hi Pauline,

It does indeed look like you're pregnant. I hope it's true for you, but I still want to share my story with you. At one point, I started feeling nauseous and my breasts were tender. I went to the GP, who laughed and did a pregnancy test. The hCG level was just on the borderline. Two weeks later, it was back to normal, so I wasn't pregnant. It was just my body playing tricks on me :-(

I really, really hope you're pregnant (if that's what you want, of course). By the way, I'm now a proud mom of my wonderful boy.

My desire for a child is very strong.
I had two miscarriages in 2009 and on April 28, 2011, I had to terminate my pregnancy at 16+4 weeks because my daughter had a chromosomal abnormality.
The chromosomal abnormality was combined with a lot of fluid around the body and in the body, meaning she had a 0% chance of survival.
I could have continued the pregnancy, but she would have died at 20/25 weeks during the pregnancy.

So it's also an exciting time for us after what we went through last year.
We hope this pregnancy goes well and that we can welcome a little one in October 2012.

    Morning urine works best often:-)

If I see it like this, you're pregnant. But just to be sure, do a test at the doctor's office! Or do another one in a week.

I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and my first test was also very faint, and a week later it was super dark!

    Good luck!

I went to the GP today to make an appointment. Tomorrow I have the intake, and next Tuesday the ultrasound, so it's still a bit suspenseful until then whether everything is okay.
As soon as I know more, I'll let you know.

    Hi everyone,
I have such a strong desire for a child that I'm starting to lose it completely (I know it's not healthy).
I just did two home pregnancy tests. The first one was negative after a few minutes, but when I looked again later, there was a very faint line, making it a cross (but really very faint). I'm also only 2 days late with my period.
I did another test (right after) and again negative, but after a few long minutes, I think even more than 10 minutes, there was another very faint line.
Am I pregnant? I can't wait until tomorrow to go to the doctor. Can someone please tell me something already?

    Thanks

Hi hi, I only saw a faint line on my test after 1 day. What does that mean? Best wishes, Wilma

Unfortunately, your test won't be valid anymore,
I believe you shouldn't wait more than 5 minutes..

Try to wait long enough before testing (4-5 days after your period was due) and in the morning.
That will save you a lot of tests and disappointments!!

Hopefully, the next one will bring clarity!!
    Greetings, Olivia..
