Hi Fiev,
No need to thank me, it's totally deserved. I can understand the fears and uncertainties, I think. It's all so unreal the first time around. But honestly, it's normal to feel this way, girl. So I hope you can still enjoy it. When's your first ultrasound, girl? xxx -

Bloem, I think it's because it hasn't worked for so long, and every disappointment makes it hard to believe. I had my first ultrasound on January 7th; I think that's when I'll really start to realize it. If all goes well, I'm 4 weeks pregnant now.
How are you doing, Bloem? Have you also had an IUI treatment? -

I'm also curious about the questions Bloem asked about IUI, if you don't mind. -

Hi everyone,
I had my first IUI on March 4th. We've been trying to get pregnant for almost three years now, but unfortunately without success. My husband's sperm has been tested multiple times and it's above average for conceiving. My fallopian tubes were flushed and they're open. They also took blood tests from both of us, and they could see that I'm ovulating. My cycle is always between 28 and 30 days, but so far no pregnancy!
Now, I might have a weird question... yesterday (day 12 after insemination) I had a little light pink bleeding. I thought, oh no, now I'm getting my period, but it didn't continue overnight. Tonight I had a little bit again. Normally my period comes properly... Could this be due to the IUI? Because I don't really believe in implantation and already did an Action test, but it was negative Haha. So I tested on day 13 after the IUI, and the doctor said I'm not allowed to test until day 16.
I'd love to hear your reactions to my story and wish you all success. I'm realizing more and more that it's quite intense. You're basically dealing with it all day, every day.

Hi! So for you guys, it's an unexplained reason why it's not working? That's quite suspenseful to wait and see now. I have NO experience with this yet. I hope it worked out for you. Did the IUI go well? And did you have hormones or just your natural cycle? We've been trying for a bit over a year now. I have 2 kids from a previous marriage. You'd think it should work then. But it turns out my partner has low sperm count and my thyroid sometimes works a bit too slowly. Now the values were good and we were supposed to start IUI in our natural cycle this month. But unfortunately... My ovulation tests keep being negative. I had an ultrasound the day before yesterday. I've had fertile mucus since day 9 and it turned out no egg was maturing and based on the uterine lining, there was no ovulation yet. Tomorrow is day 14 and another ultrasound. I still have that discharge but I don't expect them to suddenly see an egg. They did see a cyst on the right side. So it seems like I'm stuck in the beginning of a cycle. I do get my period every month. So I don't understand it at all. Sorry for the long story.
When are you going to test again? I'll be rooting for you!! -

We have an appointment at the hospital on June 8th to discuss our IUI process. We've been trying to conceive our second baby for quite a while now. For our daughter, we had a miscarriage and then another one. The miscarriage was 1.5 years ago. Initially, only I was examined because I had been pregnant 3 times, but nothing was found. They did see that I had a double ovulation. Later, my partner was also examined, and now it turns out he has reduced sperm motility. I have the brochure about the treatment, but it doesn't make me happy. I read that if the problem is with the man, you only have a 5 to 10% chance per attempt to get pregnant. And that within 3 to 6 months, 1/3 to 1/2 of the women become pregnant. What are your experiences?
Greetings, Ann -

Unfortunately, I'm already in round 4 of the IUI. Today is day 10 after the insemination. I couldn't resist taking a test again, and it was negative again. So another disappointment, but it might still be too early. I'm indeed injecting hormones, Fostimon and Pregnyl. On Wednesday, we have an evaluation appointment at the hospital. Maybe we'll switch to IVF. How are things going for you all?

I was told that after the injection, hormones can still be detectable for up to 14 days, so it's better not to test within those 14 days because of the risk of a false positive. They also told me at the IUI (2 days later) that I should only test after 14 days. I did get a faint positive even after 12 days, though, but that could have been from the trigger shot. A few days later it was clearly positive. -

Thanks for your reply! Did you already have symptoms on day 12? And which IUI was that? I mainly have sore breasts on the sides.. they're also glowing red. But I guess that could also be the hormones.
Good luck to all you girls.
It might be nice if we can support each other here? -

@Ann - How did the conversation go on June 8th at the hospital?
@Cinta - Congratulations! May I ask how many IUIs it took to succeed?
We're just starting our journey too. The first IUI is coming up. First an ultrasound, then pills + hormones this week. -

Hi hi, can I join in the conversation too?? I'm Sophie, 24 years old, and since the end of 2015 I've been trying for our first little miracle. I've had all the tests done and got the "unexplained" stamp. So next up, we're starting IUI with Gonal F and Ovitrelle. I find it quite nerve-wracking. -

@$ophie, welcome and of course you're welcome to join in the conversation
Exciting times for all of us with IUI. It would be so wonderful if it worked the first time

After 5 months of Clomid (up to the highest dose), 1 egg, and the IUI worked on the first try.
Just saw the heartbeat. -

Honestly, I didn’t have many complaints, just a lack of appetite. The sore breasts didn’t start until week 4 or 5, I think. -

How special, Cinta! It's and remains a wonder.
Thanks, Cilia! I find it quite nerve-wracking, but we're going to tackle it with fresh courage. Just 4 days until NOD and then we'll call the hospital

@Cinta, that's nice to hear that it can be on the first try too! That will give some of us hope... And what a super thing that you've heard the heartbeat! Enjoy it
And just as you say, $ophie, with fresh courage!
