Falling asleep with baby in bed

Hi ladies,
Does anyone recognize this?
At night I still give my daughter Lola two feeds (I'm breastfeeding), but lately I keep falling asleep while feeding her.
Thankfully the bed is safe though.
There are no duvets, pillows are away, and I have a mesh guard, and my husband isn't home at night because he works night shifts.
Often I wake up after 2 hours and see her sleeping peacefully, often still with my nipple in her mouth hihi.

How dangerous is it, and does anyone have tips to prevent it?

    Hi hi.
Totally relatable. It's also natural that you get tired while your baby is feeding.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.

My baby has slept in our bed for a lot of nights. When tiredness takes over during breastfeeding.
We lie a bit more towards the bottom and he more towards the top, so no obstruction from blankets or pillows.

Ohhh, so relatable! When you're breastfeeding, your body produces a substance that makes you feel nice and sleepy too.
Check out https://samenslapen.nl/veiligheid/ for some tips. It's never 100% safe, of course, but you can make it very safe.
Anyway, I co-slept for a long time. It really helped my energy levels, and at least my daughter slept then. Good luck!

Relatable, and I personally don't think it's as "dangerous" as they make it out to be. Just like you produce the little bit of dust, which is also in your milk for your little one, making you sleepy... because it's just natural to be together like that. It's society that has something to say about it. Your motherly instinct takes over; I woke up from everything.

Sounds like you've made it safe enough. Just don't do it anymore once they start crawling! They can crawl over everything then, including cushions, you, etc. I've experienced this myself, luckily it ended well, but let this warning help you out.
