    First of all:
It doesn't say much how long people spent in hours (do they count from the first contraction or the first regular contraction shorter than 5 min)
My first and second delivery took about the same amount of time. First quick dilation and then 2 hours of pushing. With the second, it was only 5 minutes of pushing. So that went much faster and easier for me.

First one was born at 02:12.
My water broke at 22:00, at 01:00 I was 5 cm dilated and at 01:45 I started pushing, and at 02:12 she was born . From water breaking to being on my chest: 3 hours and 12 minutes (home birth)
Second one was born at 07:09.
My water broke in the morning at 06:00, full pushing sensation at 06:30.. she was born at 07:09 From water breaking to being on my chest: 1 hour (home birth)
Third one was born at 08:39.
My water broke in the morning at 07:30, full dilation at 08:00, full pushing sensation at 08:15 and he was born at 08:39 From water breaking to being on my chest: 1 hour and 9 minutes (hospital birth, I was already admitted due to extremely strong contractions and high blood pressure)
Now expecting our fourth baby and very curious how long this birth will take

One person counts from the first contraction, and the other from when the water breaks. If I count from when my water broke, I gave birth once in 2 hours and the other two times in under 2 minutes (the last two babies came out right after my water broke, like they just fell out).

I think it's better to count from the first regular contraction.

Wow, I was really curious too! First “water broke” at 7:00. First real contractions from 12:00. At 5:00 PM, 2 cm dilated. Off to the hospital. At 7:00 PM, epidural. Only by morning was I fully dilated! Finally, after half an hour of pushing, baby was born at 5:59 AM. So it was a long one. Hope it goes faster with baby number two
