That's weird! You thought you'd just ovulated, right? Bummer! But now you can take it into account next time.. No idea if it'll be shorter, I don't get anything about cycles And is it definitely too much for implantation bleeding?
  2. Ster #22

Yeah, I think so. I assume an implantation bleed isn’t really as heavy as a full day pad and doesn’t hurt that much either. I didn’t notice anything like that with my two boys.
  3. Renske #23

No, that doesn't sound good to me either

    Hey Marjolijn,

I haven't had such a short cycle in years. It would be nice if that came back, we'd also have a better chance of it sticking, right? My husband is coming home for a few days today, so that means work on the front ;-)

    Hey Marjolijn,

How are you doing? Can you test again soon?

I'll be in two weeks if everything goes well ;-)

    Hi Nynke!
That's so sweet of you to ask! I'm allowed to test soon, indeed. On the 12th, I can go and test. I find it quite nerve-wracking, but I feel really calm and cheerful (weird, right?). I think it's because the gynecologist said it's not due to me (since then, I've felt that calmness). He just said I'm lucky, every woman has a 25% chance each time. And my husband had to give up one thing ;-)(and he really does it well!). I do have some weird things though. Sensitive breasts, like my bra is sometimes too small ;-)(but that could also be because I've been snacking a bit too much again). And getting emotional at work (I work with kids and did Pieter's gym with a 4-year-old). And I was nauseous for 2 days, but now I have a cold, so it could also be a little flu.
Well, haha, long story about how things are going for me.

    @Valerie: Congratulations! I see that you're 4 weeks pregnant!

Ooh :-D that sounds very promising, how exciting!! How nice that you also work with children. I do too, I'm currently studying to become a PWer (the former SPW). Are you also counting down to the test day or do you let it rest a bit?

I'm glad things are going well for you both.

    Hey Valerie,

So you ovulated after all. Heartfelt congratulations!!!!! Enjoy it!

    Hi hi,
It is indeed quite exciting! Tomorrow I'm also going out to eat at a stone-grill restaurant. I've told myself not to test until the 12th, so I have to let it rest, hehe. But it is a bit tricky—should I already start taking meat and food into account? I'd actually like to take the test tomorrow, but well... I also downloaded two of those apps, and one says I should get my period on December 9th, and the other says December 11th. That's why I've told myself not to test until the 12th.

It's so nice that you do the same job, and I finished my PW last year. So if you have any questions about that, feel free to ask!
  10. Ster #30

    hey,
ooh that's awesome! I'll definitely ask questions if I run into something. What kind of apps are those? When it comes to food, I'd already take that into account a bit. As long as they don't start looking at you weirdly and asking questions you don't want to answer. Eating a little steak shouldn't really be a problem, I think. But maybe there are people who know more about this. I don't like steak at all, so for me it's easy to say, I can just leave it without any trouble hahaha.

Anyway, have a lot of fun tomorrow!

We stopped the pill at the end of June. Unfortunately, still no luck. We're now trying for baby #2, and the first one happened right away, so this is new territory for us. We've decided to start using ovulation tests to see if that helps us move forward a bit. Have you guys had any success in the meantime?

    Hi,

@Nienke: One app is called Period Tracker and the other is called My Days. How are you doing now?

@Nana83: No, unfortunately not yet. I got my period again last Sunday. I talked to my husband about ovulation tests, but he doesn't want to do it. I wish you lots of success and fun though.

I think I'll stick to Brabbels for now, but then I'm going to take a break from thinking about being pregnant for over a month. Just keep busy with everything else, but stop thinking about getting pregnant. It feels a bit uncomfortable, but who knows, it might work out ;-)

@marjolijn: Too bad to hear your period has started.
I got mine on December 3rd, so we can start trying again hahaha
Wishing you all the best of luck!
  14. Ster #34

    Hey Marjolijn,

That's so sad! I'm going to miss you too, let's hope it works out and that you come back with super good news.

I'm allowed to test myself on Sunday and if it's negative, I can test again after 2 weeks, otherwise it gets way too expensive ;-)

I do have some symptoms that I recognize from my last pregnancy. But yeah, I can imagine that too.

Nana, it's nice that you're joining in on this topic. Is this your first baby?

    Hi Nynke,

    We have a daughter who’s almost 7.
Due to circumstances, we couldn’t start trying for a second child earlier, and we stopped the pill half a year ago.
Unfortunately, it’s not happening as quickly as with our girl (she was pregnant right away).
How are you doing it this month? Christmas and New Year’s are such a cozy time of year, right?
My period should start on the 31st (or not).
I see that you already have two little ones, Nynke. Are you going for number 3 now?
    Love, Nathalie

Exciting wipeout also on New Year's Eve.
Maybe even with a little one to start the new year.
    Rooting for you guys!

    Hey ladies,

It's all so exciting! I tested on Sunday and it was negative, unfortunately. But I haven't gotten my period yet, so I'm holding onto a little hope. How long do you usually wait before testing again? I'm torn between waiting a week or two.

Nathalie, we're indeed going for number three :-D and I hope I tested too early.

Wipeout, I'm crossing my fingers for you; that would be such amazing news right before the new year.

That's so disappointing that your test was negative!
I think I'll test on the 30th, since the 31st is New Year's Eve, I'm really curious if we're going into the new year as a family of four.
I'd wait another week, Nynke. No pregnancy symptoms yet?
    Greetings, Nathalie

    Hey Nathalie,
yeah, that vague feeling you can easily dismiss as "it's all in your head" because you want it to be. My breasts don't really hurt anymore after feeding two kids, so I can't really tell if I'm pregnant based on that.

I guess I just have to wait and see.

    Love, Nynke
