What do you think of the name Iana?

    I think it's a nice name, but I find the I-A sound quite prominent in it, which is why I wouldn't choose it myself.

    I think Ilana is prettier, especially to keep the vowels a bit more distinct.

    Distinct name. I also know a girl named Eliana and another named Ioana (pronounced like Joanna), which I personally find sounds a bit softer.

    No, I don't like it. It might not mean anything, but it immediately reminded me of marijuana... It sounds a bit crude, maybe look for a variation... Eliana was suggested, I think that's better too!

    If our girl is born, we're naming her Kiana (so we're really leaning hard towards that). The 'I' sounds a bit softer because you roll from the K to the A. With Iana, as mentioned above, you put the emphasis on a strong-sounding IA. I find that slightly less beautiful.

    I think Iliana is also a really pretty name.. It flows more easily off the lips than Iana. Maybe you could write down a few variants and/or other names and say them out loud every now and then. With Kiana, I've also hesitated at times because it's a name with a strong sound, but I feel it fits my bump perfectly

    Not meant to be rude, but when I saw it, I thought the D was left out of Diana or another name where just the first letter was dropped... and then Iana was made from it;-)
    I also think Ilana is nice!
