Cramps in the lower abdomen

Eli
Hey,
I stopped the pill after my last period (21/03/2018) to try for a baby. I just finished my fertile week (according to my app), and we had unprotected sex on 31/03/2018, so during my fertile window.
I’ve already had cramps in my lower abdomen, headaches, and fatigue for two or three days now.
What could be the cause of this?
Normally, I should get my period between 14/04/2018 and 22/04/2018.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Kind regards,
Eli

It could be anything. It might be due to coming off the pill, or your app might have miscalculated your fertile week, meaning you're now experiencing ovulation symptoms. It could also be early pregnancy symptoms, but you can only test for that after your missed period. It might just be a mild flu.

Your cycle on the pill is forced and controlled. Your cycle without the pill can be very different, and you can only really figure out what it's like after tracking at least three cycles off the pill to calculate an average.

Basically, you can't rely on an app right now because you haven't had a natural period yet. It could take a few months for your period to return after stopping the pill. You could use ovulation tests to track ovulation, but since you don't know how your post-pill cycle works yet, that's not very helpful—you might waste a lot of tests if you start too early.

    Hey,
Thanks for the reply. I also notice that I sometimes feel a bit dizzy. I've been on the pill for quite a while now, and my cycle has always been normal (26 days). Better wait until I get my period, with a little hope of pregnancy .

That's right, you can't really wait anymore. Don't be surprised if your cycle is longer than 26 days now without being pregnant. For some people, it takes a while to ovulate, but it can also happen suddenly.

Just called the doctor to find out more. He says the chance that I'm pregnant is pretty realistic after all. Next week I can take a test, and if it's positive, I can get a blood test . Fingers crossed!
