Baby development

Hi,
Our girl is now 6 months old. After a visit to Kind en Gezin, we were referred to a pediatrician because her motor development isn't progressing as expected. Specifically, she doesn't roll over, has trouble grasping objects, and struggles to follow objects with her eyes. She also has difficulty holding her head up, and sometimes it seems like she has little control over her arms and legs. We now have to go through a whole series of tests...
I was wondering if there are any parents with experience regarding this... Could it be that my child is just a bit late in developing? Has anyone here gone through something similar...
We've already cried a lot here....

    Hi girls,

I haven't experienced it myself, but honestly, I think your baby is just a "late" developer. Every person is different and develops differently. My sister started walking "late" at 18 months, and I started "early" at 9 months. It could just as easily happen that she'll suddenly start doing everything. Everything gets exaggerated when a child doesn't develop as "average" as expected. What is average anyway? I wouldn't worry too much, girl.
