Oh no... and don't you have to work??? -
Linda24 started this #22
Yes, but I need to take it easier. I'm just not very good at that.. -
shannah #23
It's not always easy, of course... but you'll just have to do it. All for the little baby

Every few weeks I realize I can do a bit less. If I take smaller steps now and don’t walk too far, it’s actually going pretty well. Then I also don’t have so much back pain. But yeah, you often only stop when you feel something, and then you’re too late
but we’ll just keep going cheerfully. -
shannah #25
Less fun, of course... so far, everything's still going pretty well for me
-

I hope you keep it up that way.
but you're doing great! -
shannah #27
Yeah, just a little over 6 weeks left... I have to admit I'm getting a bit "fed up" with being pregnant. Little An can come any time now! I've overloaded myself again so I have back pain and swollen feet. I've also completely lost my fitness! Really tough... And that belly just keeps growing hahaha
Is everything okay? -

Everything's going well here too. I'm starting to feel the effects of this stuffy, humid weather. Tomorrow I have to get my blood drawn to see if the little one has a positive Rh factor at least.
Fatigue has really hit me too. It's hard to get out of bed, and once I'm home, I can head straight to bed after eating.
But we're just pushing through. I'm almost in the 28th week, so there's still quite a while to go.
I'm rooting for you that the coming weeks go smoothly and that you sail through them with ease
It's still hard to figure out beforehand what you should or shouldn't have done. -

You say you want to pump instead of breastfeeding. But aren't you still exposing your breasts just as much? Because you pump just as often as the baby would normally feed (every 2 to 4 hours during the first few months).
Pumping is a much stranger sight for kids than seeing their baby at the breast. -

Linda, just back from the OB and everything was tip-top. He's positioned nicely but not too low yet. Plenty of amniotic fluid and no sign of dilation, etc. He already weighs 2.6kg! Not surprising he'll keep gaining weight. The OB doesn't foresee any problems and expects a full-term pregnancy.
Micha, am I talking to you?
It's been a while since this topic was about breastfeeding. I'm pro-breastfeeding myself and I'll definitely try. I'm thinking of combining it with pumping since I'll be returning to work fairly soon. -

Super that it's going so well. Enjoy it, it's nice that the baby is growing well and is in a good position
Yesterday I also heard a nice beating heart again. He's positioned up top now with his head on the left side and his bottom towards the right side
Plenty of time to change that yet. In 3 weeks there's another check-up, and then I'll find out if he has a positive or negative blood type. -
shannah #32
Yes, that's indeed super! I just hope I don't have a chubby baby...
I'm a bit worried about that.
Yes! That little heart... it's all so strange! That you go from a tiny little thing to a full-blown human being, and we do it all ourselves. I think that's the most beautiful part of being a woman.
Our little guy also lay diagonally for a long time, but he turned a bit faster! I hope he's not too high up for you, because that's such a suffocating feeling with your breathing.

Hope it's going well with your partner
He's really under the ribs now, definitely on the right side, which can be quite painful sometimes. I guess he'll drop down on his own, I tell myself
Indeed, it's nice to see the ultrasounds and amazing how they grow into little humans in just a few weeks. Beautiful to experience. -

I’m indeed not expecting many more problems with our guy. Tomorrow I’ll be 35 weeks and then yes... the chance that something really goes wrong is getting smaller and smaller he
All the organs and stuff are there too... healthy pregnancy, said the OB-GYN. I just hope he stays in there until those 37 weeks and then it doesn’t bother me so much whether he comes now or not
Yeah, I hope he’s still turning for you. Here he’s already nicely positioned but I seriously notice it’s getting tighter and tighter for him and yes... that causes discomfort he. He’s pressing a lot against my ribs, I can breathe less easily, he’s pressing on my bladder... little guy is everywhere
hahah -

Hahaha yes, with you he can't go any other way. I can imagine you're really counting down the weeks now.
I still have 2 months until my maternity leave. I'm not counting further than that yet. But yeah, with 4 weeks before the due date, there's a chance he decides it's time earlier.
Don't worry about me at all right now. I'm living week by week and check-up by check-up, and I really feel like everything is going well. Yes, I do have some complaints, but with the little one, everything feels fine to me

shannah #36
Here are 4 weeks until maternity leave and I'm counting down heavily

7 weeks until maternity leave and 1 week of work left, then I’ll have a week off. I’m definitely counting down the days at work. I’m feeling pretty tired at the moment.
I’ve been having more dreams, like holding my baby in my arms, etc. Luckily no nightmares
-
shannah #38
Yeah, and I'm afraid that fatigue isn't going to get better haha
It's hitting me here too. Not that I'm sleeping badly or not enough, but just not enough to feel rested. So I'm really looking forward to the weekend
-

Heh, unfortunately no good news then. I'm actually sleeping quite a lot, but I have to get up a few times at night. The little man is awake then and gets restless, and then the alarm goes off again... but you'll have that too
Maternity care has been arranged since today. Another thing to tick off our list
Things are going in the right direction. -
shannah #40
Actually, it's not that bad! Little man reacts (strangely enough) a few minutes before the alarm
as if he knows! But for some reason, I just can't get rested.
I've also arranged maternity help today hahaha
