Nora
Hi everyone!

I’d like to introduce myself, I’ve been signed up here since yesterday.

My name is Nora, I’m 21 years old and I stopped the pill in early January 2017.
I’d like to get pregnant as soon as possible, I have a few questions.. hope someone can help me..

I don’t have a regular cycle, this will probably take longer because of that...
I don’t know how to best approach it..

    Hi Nora,
Just to introduce myself, I'm Liza and I'm 27 years old. I also stopped the pill last January.
I really want to get pregnant as soon as possible, can't wait haha!
It's tricky that you don't have a regular cycle. I had a regular cycle of 30 days over the past two months. I've read that it can indeed take longer if your cycle is irregular. And often, when you're really focused on it, it takes its time.
    Wishing you lots of success,

    Hi Liza,
    Thanks for your reply!
Yes, I’ve read that it can be harder if you have an irregular cycle, and even more so if you’re constantly thinking about it. But it’s not easy to stop thinking about it when you want it so much.
Now I’m noting everything in my planner, like when I get my period, etc.
I was surprised—February came on time, exactly one month after I stopped the pill. I had a lot of bleeding, but otherwise no menstrual cramps or other symptoms...
I found that strange. Is it because I stopped the pill? Or is it really my natural cycle now?
I’m still waiting for what should have been my February period—it was supposed to come on the 9th...
I’ve been feeling very tired for a while now and sometimes nauseous, but I’m afraid to take a test because I’m scared of disappointment. I always think it’ll never happen so quickly for me.
Wishing you lots of success, and hoping you get pregnant soon!!!
    Thanks again for replying!!

I get that it's hard not to think about it. With the first one, I also thought I'd understand it right away. It's good that you're keeping track of when you get your period; it can give you some insight. If your cycle is really irregular, it can take a while. Maybe talk to your GP or midwife? They know if there's something that can support the process.
