Just to introduce myself

Hi,
My name is Eva. I’m in the sixth round of trying for our first baby. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out yet.
I hope to share some joys and sorrows here so I can get it all off my chest a bit.

    Hi Eva, welcome!
    I'm trying for a second baby and I'm in week 9 and unfortunately it hasn't been so easy to become a mother yet. My first one was a surprise (from the pill), so I never thought it would take this long. I have an appointment with the gynecologist on Friday, hopefully I'll hear more then.

    That's a shame you're not pregnant yet. How was your appointment with the gynecologist? Why did they say you should come back within 9 months?

    Hi Eva, the appointment didn't go as planned. They found out I have PCOS, which is quite a bummer. Now I need to get blood drawn on the third day of my next period, and come back in 4 weeks for the results. They also did a smear test for the cervix, so I'll see what the doctor does. We'll wait and see.

    Hey Samantha,

    That sounds really unpleasant! That must have been such a downer.

    I'm also scared of that. Especially because I've gotten quite a few pimples since I stopped the pill. Plus, I've always had hair in places where I'd rather not have it, and it's gotten a bit worse since I stopped the pill.

    May I ask what your symptoms were?

    Hi Eva, yeah, I really do. I don't want to scare you, but those are symptoms of PCOS. I got pimples a year after giving birth to my son, and they just kept coming. I had hair in places where I didn't want it, and those were the symptoms. Since I stopped the pill, it's gotten worse with the pimples; they really pop up. But only after I went to the doctor and then went on Google did I realize it was due to PCOS.

    If you're not feeling well, just go to the doctor and say you want to be referred. Because if I hadn't looked into it, they would have just let me go on like that for months. Thanks!

    I clicked the link and almost all those symptoms are mine, pff. Finally, an explanation! What I also found kind of stupid was that when I was in the hospital and it turned out I had PCOS, he wrote it on a note and said, "Yeah, Google it." At that moment, I was too overwhelmed to react, but it's actually scandalous.

    That's annoying, right? One person says you shouldn't Google it, and the other advises you to do just that! Then you end up figuring it out yourself!

    I've signed up, and you get a link with info about nutrition. I'd really look into this if I were you. I have a friend who's studying dietetics. I asked her for advice. The pill and today's food aren't good for your body.

    I'm curious how it goes for you and hope we can keep in touch. Maybe we can add each other.

    Hi Eva, yes, it's really annoying that they just leave you to your own devices. I'm going to sign up right away. Food nowadays is full of junk, E-numbers, and all that mess that drives you crazy. I hope we can keep in touch too; I'd really like to know how things are going for you.
