Hey,
I'm in exactly the same situation. 16 weeks pregnant and living back at my mom's.
It just wasn't working anymore, so I can't give you many tips. I'm also very emotional right now. You can add me on FB if you'd like, and I'll let you know how I'm going to handle it.
I understand how hard it is. Pregnancy should be the most beautiful time of your life, and I've spent the last 4 months straight crying.
Best wishes and strength! From Saïda Qnioun -

I have a question? I found out last week that I'm pregnant. The father of my baby doesn't want anything to do with it and wants me to have an abortion. I don't want to, even though it might be the best choice. I'm 22 years old and currently still living at my parents' house. They want to kick me out soon. I have no income myself. Does anyone know if there are organizations that can help you find benefits and your own place?
Xx I'm desperate

In which region do you live?
If you join now, because I think you already asked a question, I can forward your details to you, girl.
I hope I can help you along then.
That sucks that your parents want to kick you out of the house, terrible.
Just join so I can send you messages with things you can do.
I myself have been a single mother for years. -

Do your parents know you're pregnant? And the rest of the family and friends? It can actually be nice not to be alone right now. -

Hi everyone,
Last Thursday I came home from work.
My boyfriend had an unpleasant announcement, he doesn't want to continue with me anymore. He says he hasn't been into me for more than a year!!
We just built a house together and have been living here since April.
Today I'm exactly 12 weeks pregnant with a baby that was very much planned and wanted.
I first went to my parents' place for a week, but couldn't find peace there.
Now I'm back in my own house, my boyfriend (ex) is now staying with his parents. 50 km away
He never talked about it before and now... my whole world is crumbling.
The house needs to be sold soon, and I'll have to go through most of my pregnancy alone.
He did promise to support me during the pregnancy, and will come to the ultrasound and be present during the birth...
I hope he comes to his senses somewhere along the line.
But meanwhile, he admitted he's in love with the neighbor!!!! And the feelings are mutual

Who has experience with a man who initially didn't want to know anything but then changes his mind?!
Short version of my story: was together with my ex for 2.5 years, ended the relationship due to external circumstances (burnout). Within no time he had a new girlfriend whom he showed off everywhere I went.. Of course I thought this was his revenge but despite the sadness I had to think of myself. After 3 months he stood on my doorstep crying, he had tried for 2 months and I kicked him out because I found out he was still seeing her. Afterwards he always had her as his second girlfriend also during our 2.5 years! I am now 14 weeks pregnant and found out 2 weeks after I had thrown him out. He wanted an abortion (I didn't) and wished me success with it... Now my ideal scenario is that he disappears forever because he is unpredictable... Are there any men who change their minds about a child?? -

Oh my goodness, girls, what a nightmare all that is. That has always been my biggest nightmare, getting pregnant and then having my relationship fall apart. Now that I'm pregnant with my first, I feel incredibly vulnerable. I almost dream every night that my boyfriend is cheating on me or suddenly says he doesn't want a baby anymore (he's a bit older than me and already has two older kids). The advantage of being a single mom seems to be that you can decide and do everything however you like; you don't have disagreements about parenting or the color of the baby's room and such. But on the other hand, I would feel very lonely too; you have to do everything alone, which seems super tough. Lots of strength to you

Hi!
I'm a 28-year-old woman and I'm going through some really rough times right now!!! To make a long story short, I'm 8 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend has left me in the lurch, with a ton of lies involved!!! He already has a kid with another woman that he pays child support for... My boyfriend has been in debt restructuring for years, he has 2 more years to go and then he's clear!!! When he found out I was pregnant, he was over the moon, until he started thinking deeper about how they could kick him out of the debt restructuring program after having another kid... Because of that, he started lying to everyone, including his family, saying I cheated on him, so he wouldn't have to take responsibility for the baby... Now he wants nothing more to do with it... But I'm left all alone here.... I really wanted a little family where the dad plays a big role, but that's just not meant to be for me... My parents, him, and his family pressured me into having an abortion... No one wanted this baby for me.... I wouldn't even consider an abortion, this is murder, and well, now I have to face the consequences!!! Still, I already love this little one with all my heart!!!! He is my everything... But I'm at my wit's end!!! -

Sorry to say it, but I really don’t get what women see in such a lunkhead, and then go and have a kid with them. Some women just look for some guy who lies, cheats, cheats on them, or beats them up—a bad boy, oh how thrilling. And then they have a kid with him and later complain that the kid doesn’t have a nice or responsible dad. When I was dating, I was looking for someone who would also be a great dad for the future. Someone calm, responsible, with a decent job and a bit of a sense of responsibility. An adult! I’ve had relationships with guys who meant well and were fun to be with, but I just didn’t see them as dad material because they couldn’t handle money or because they were smoking weed and there was no way to reason with them. It’s probably just me. Probably very blunt and short-sighted of me, but I find it exhausting. Alright, that’s out of my system. #hormonesaregoingwild -

Totally agree with you. If I had known everything beforehand what I’ve experienced in the past, I would have made different choices too. That doesn’t take away from the fact that my daughter was very much wanted/is and has blossomed into a cheerful little girl of almost nine.
Of course, after such experiences you become more selective, but above all it teaches you not to judge situations you don’t know! -

Oh my, there's quite a bit of accusation going on here... I don't think people choose to be like this!!!! And Chelsea... Oh my, you're so harsh... I'd love to have your crystal ball... Oh my, you've quite the gift for predicting the future and condemning everyone else... Be careful what you say, OL... It might come back to bite you!!! Let's see how you'd feel if everyone condemned you... Girls, stay strong and ignore reactions like Chelsea's!!?? That was nicely said...!!! -

Are there any ladies who have experience with going through pregnancy and childbirth alone, and how did it go for them afterwards?
- Are they back in their own strength again?
- Did any fathers turn around and become involved after the birth and seeing the baby?
- Do they have room for new loves in their lives?
I'm really curious about positive outcomes ?? -

Hi Radeloosje,
There are positive stories too, of course. When I was pregnant with my first, my partner didn't take it well at all. We didn't have a stable relationship back then, he was hardly involved in the pregnancy, and he wasn't there for the birth. After that, it took another year and a half before he started showing up regularly. It was a lot of investment on my part for a year and a half, which wasn't always easy—not so much for our relationship, but for the bond with his daughter. Eventually, everything fell into place, we started living together, and we're expecting our third in August.
But well, it really depends on the reason why someone isn't involved or doesn't want to be. In our case, fear was the main reason things were so difficult. I won't excuse him for it, but I can understand it. He also got help to sort things out.
Everyone and every story has its own sides. Sometimes it's better to let go than to keep fighting.
How are things for you?
Love, -

Yes, that's definitely possible, and even with acknowledgment, you have the authority. So as a mother, you're in a strong position. Do what feels best for you because ultimately, it's your child, and if he shows little interest, I understand you'd want to move on quickly. I just want to say that men often don't realize how beautiful a baby is until after birth. We women feel the love during pregnancy, while men only get that infatuation when they see the baby for the first time. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy, and congratulations too.
