Cynthia, this would indeed be my first pregnancy, which is why everything feels so new to me :-( I just hope they figure it out so I know what I’m dealing with... Pff...
Missy, oh yes, good, as long as I can distract myself, because when I think about it, I get nauseous because I’m so unsure. One moment I feel everything, and the next moment nothing? :s
I was supposed to make an appointment with my midwife next Friday, at her request, since it would be 47 days... I don’t know what’s waiting for me there... !
I hope you both get a positive test, ladies, but I think it’s nothing for me... ????
You know what it is, Sky? Despite all the hope and consciously/unconsciously trying, it would be a miracle if I were already pregnant. I stopped the pill at the end of April, so it's been just over two months. When I stopped, I figured it would take at least 6 months to a year (if I'm lucky) before I could get pregnant.
To avoid disappointment, I'm starting to prepare myself for that possibility now.
I read plenty of stories from women who got pregnant within 3 months. So I know it's possible and that hoping is normal. But my reaction to the negative test really surprised me. So disappointed, so grumpy!
So for now, I'll keep hoping and stay (consciously/unconsciously) engaged, but I won't assume anything else for the time being!
I completely understand you! I didn't consciously stop taking the pill... let's just say that in September I was supposed to start trying for kids, but I hoped it would happen sooner, so I didn't take the last week of my pill pack... The following week I had bleeding from Friday to Monday, and then I didn't take any more pills. I didn't realize there was so much to it. On June 7th I had brown discharge for 2 days and then it stopped.
I do get occasional twinges as if they are coming through, but when I look, there's nothing. I do have mood swings, yes, but that's partly because I'm thinking about it, I think.
Against my expectations, I'm hoping it's a success, but I have no idea at all.
If it's not, I mean there will be more rounds, but all my friends have no trouble, and I'd start wondering what's wrong with me... I hope I get some more clarity on Friday, and you too, dear girl!
I perfectly know how you feel and I truly wish it for you! Don't lose hope!
Big kiss
It can all happen; if you don't expect it, sometimes it's a hit. With my daughter, it was a hit right away, and I even had period-like feelings in my stomach, you know.
It can take up to a year for your body to really adjust after stopping the pill, so you can expect a fairly normal cycle again. Your first period might also just take 6 months to show up. I'm afraid there's nothing else to do but wait patiently. Patience, patience, patience.
By the way, the brown discharge has stopped for me! Could it still be a form of MS? If that's the case, it would be the first time in my life that my MS consisted of nothing but brown discharge...
When I was coming off the pill, I always had very short periods, very little blood, and mostly brown blood. Your body just does some weird things.. I got pregnant two months later.
