Test doen?

Hi,
I'm not sure if I should take a test or not. I'm in the 2nd week of my pill-free break. I forgot to take the pill on Thursday of the first week, had sex on Friday, and then took the pill that night. What do you guys think? Should I take a test or not?

You can only test about 4 days before your period, and with a sensitive test, 6 days before.
If you test now and it's negative...

Hmm okay, but could I be pregnant?

    Best,

How many hours are there between the missed pill and when it’s taken again? Do you have a fixed time when you take it every day?

I always give him in the morning around half past 8.
On Thursday I forgot and gave it to him Friday night around 1:30 to 2:00.

Some pregnancy test instructions say that if you don't have a clear cycle, you can test 19 days AFTER unprotected sex—that's the most reliable.

Yeah, I forgot about Friday too and then had sex that evening and took the pill afterwards, but my question is, could I be pregnant?
  7. s #8

Yeah, that’s definitely possible. If I read it right, you’d have had your last unprotected encounter on Wednesday morning, and then not again until Friday evening—that’s two full days.
You can indeed test 19 days after unprotected sex.

Just like Sofija said, that's definitely possible, especially with two full days, particularly in the first pill week. Do you want to be pregnant?

On the one hand, if it happens, we're happy about it. On the other hand, we'd still like to wait.

But if I were pregnant right now, would I be able to notice anything yet? I suddenly feel really tired and my stomach sometimes rumbles (different from hunger).
  11. s #12

You don't necessarily have to notice anything; I only realized I was pregnant at 7 weeks.

    But can you feel anything?
  13. s #14

I wouldn't dare say for sure.

Look, it's just that you're only fertile around ovulation. And sperm can survive in the uterus for 2 up to 7 days.
So it doesn't have to be that you got fertilized that evening; it could have been as late as the beginning of this week.

After fertilization, implantation happens 6 to... uh, I thought 12 days later? So the only thing you might feel right now, if you feel anything at all, is tiredness.

Personally, I think the chance is slim that you'd feel anything from it so soon, but maybe someone else thinks differently.

Just try to stay calm, take it easy, and unfortunately, you can't do anything but wait now.

Hmm, thanks for the info anyway. Do you think there's a high chance I'm pregnant? I've been feeling tired since Sunday/Monday.
  15. s #16

I personally think there's a very small chance since you had started your period a few days ago. Your ovaries essentially go back into "sleep mode" due to the pill.
But a small chance is still a chance, no matter how tiny it is.
If I can help you out in the coming days, let me know.

    Love

    I meant chance! Stupid autocorrect.

I see my phone is starting to have a life of its own... sorry

Haha, no worries, I’ve got someone to talk to now. When I bring it up with my boyfriend, he doesn’t want to know anything about it, but I do have some vague rumbling and occasional twinges down in my belly.

By the way, I had only taken the pill 4 times and then forgot on Thursday.
