The birth
Worries about childbirth
Ann91
Hi everyone.
I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant with our first baby and I'm more than fed up (as I think many women are)... I can barely walk for a week due to severe stabbing pains in my groin, and since yesterday it even hurts when I sit or lie down... On top of that, I'm worried whether the birth will go smoothly (naturally).. I've had several growth ultrasounds at the hospital and it turns out our baby is very large... Last Wednesday I went to the midwife and she referred me to the hospital for an ultrasound, the baby is now estimated to be over 7 pounds.. and to think I might have to wait another 4 weeks!!!
I'm also sleeping poorly (partly due to a lot of heartburn) and because my belly is gigantic... (people even ask if there's only one in there)
I have to go back to the midwife on Wednesday and I hope they'll want to do something, induce or strip the membranes or something... but I'm scared.. Pfff I'm really afraid of the birth
I never used to be before.... I always had something like that (even when I was already pregnant) Everyone can give birth so can I, and I'm also aware that giving birth isn't fun but that I (everyone) will get through it hihi. But now every time they say he's so big, and the chance of complications is also greater than with a smaller baby... I really start to worry.
Anyone who has experience with this??????
Love,
