Hiii ladies,

Could you please share your preference from our list of names? We have a son named Sem.

We're torn between 3 names:

Fenna
Liv
Lynn (I think it's a really nice name, but there's also a girl with this name in our street, which makes me hesitate)

Thanks in advance.

Love, a mother in doubt

I think it suits Liv better... it fits Sem perfectly :-) short, strong, and cute!

Good luck with the choice! xxx

    I'm going with Liv.

Our daughter is also named Liv.

    Hi anonymous,
    Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Without a doubt, I think Fenna is the most beautiful name.
    It's gorgeous.
Personally, I don't find Live to be a blessed name at all, and it's so short.
    Lynn is also nothing short.
Fenna is beautiful and very girly.
    Greetings, Madelene

    Fenna or Senna?

Thank you so much, Sissi and Irma!

I already had Fenna in mind before our son was born, in case it would be a girl, which it wasn't, so hihi. But now I came across the other two names, which we also thought were really nice! It's still difficult, isn't it?!

Names are so hard. You have to like hearing them for your whole life. I had such a favorite baby name, but I can never use it anymore because my niece named her baby that! SO ANNOYING!!!

I don't see it as negative, as I mentioned before. Maybe the comparison with Phill from the TV show—he's well-known and successful, but fine if you don't see the comparison. Personally, I think it's a shame not to choose the name for that reason. For example, even if it's a weird example, I gave my youngest daughter the name of her aunt, just because I happened to think it was a beautiful name. My husband said no, that can't be, that's crazy, I wouldn't see her as my own child with her own personality. Then I immediately thought of my sister. It could be, and maybe he was right in his own way, but I really wanted to go ahead with it anyway, and that's the name she got. Maybe something totally different, but I mean to say that it's the person themselves who matters. If you think it's a beautiful name, just go for it. And it is a beautiful name; it's a shame not to give it. Good luck with your choice. Greetings, Madelene

Sorry, I posted my story on the wrong forum.
I still stand by my choice: I’d really go for Fenna. I think that name has it all.
Liv doesn’t really feel like a name to me.
And Lynn feels too short to me—it comes across more like an unfinished name, almost like an abbreviation of a longer name, for example, Linda, from which Lynn could be derived.
But well, that’s obviously very personal.
Some people might find it a beautiful name, of course. I’m just sharing my own opinion, my personal taste.
I can totally understand why you wouldn’t want your child to be one of many girls in a class with the same name—it’s not very original.
    And Lynn is quite common.
But anyway, it’s and remains your choice.
    Greetings, Madelene
