Strength Rozemarijn! That sounds really intense to me.

    @Rozemarijn,
Rozemarijn, this is not what you were hoping for, hopefully you can find a place for it..
Here is a poem to help you process it, I hope Rozemarijn.. Strength

Even if it was still so early, don't forget,
You were a part of me.
You were the most beautiful gift in my life
    that I wanted to have
But now it becomes a life without you.

The weeks that you were in my belly,
    were very special.
I will never forget them either.

Even though nothing tangible had developed in you yet,
I know your soul had chosen us.

I let you go, but I will never forget you.

    Love Ju

I had a massive amount of bleeding at 29 weeks pregnant. I was admitted to the hospital, and the next day it just stopped out of nowhere. When I arrived at the hospital, they immediately started talking about medication to help the baby's lungs mature quickly—it was really scary. I'm now almost 33 weeks pregnant, and everything is fine with the baby. They don't know where it came from, but since I've been dealing with so much stress, I think it was stress-related.

Wow, so intense to read all that!!
Stay strong Rozemarijn, this must be such a tough time for you..
I hope you can find a way to cope, stay strong!!

    Hi Linda,
Did you end up getting that medication or did it turn out it wasn't needed after all??
  5. linda #25

    Hi Olivia,
No, I didn't get anything else. The next day it was over and I was allowed to go home. Now I have to wait another six weeks until the due date. Exciting!

hi everyone yes i had a very high-risk pregnancy too at 20 weeks ultrasound i was immediately referred to the vu medical center
i also bled a lot at 19 weeks and then it stopped
and i had a lot of stress and the hospital thought i had a chromosomal
abnormality so they wanted me to do a chorionic villus test i refused 3 times
but they really wanted me to do that cvs test just to be sure and see if there were any consequences and yes after a week i gave birth on september 7 2012 at 24 weeks it's a long story greetings barbie

Oh my, what a heavy thing!!!
I barely dare to ask, did your child survive this??
  8. Anonymous Guest #28

No, she said it could survive, but that fucking hospital made us so unsure.
They said it could go in a incubator, but she said that's a lot to put a child through, you're not supposed to say that. A baby born at 24 weeks should go straight into the incubator.
I'm still angry at them for the way they handled everything. You're supposed to ask for permission, they were very careless.
  9. Mommy-Of-Nyana #29

    @ Anoniem,
what a hell... I can totally believe you're still angry! This just shouldn't happen like this..
As you say, a baby born at 24 weeks belongs in an incubator and needs help until it can breathe and eat completely on its own! It's a shame they acted so carelessly!! You can't do anything about it, of course, because you've lost your little one due to their careless actions!!
Okay, the baby probably had a hard time being so cozy inside and then suddenly coming out into the big cold world so early... but nowadays they can keep such babies alive, right??!! Technology has come so far.. and then you hear something like your little one is suffering too much! The hospital should support your decisions, not make you doubt!
Wishing you lots of strength, girl. Hopefully, you can find a place for him..

I really think it's a shame and quite disgraceful (sorry for the expression) of the hospital to act like that!

Lots of love, and feel free to vent here whenever it gets too much!!
  10. Dani #30

Wow, what a story....................I swear a lot when I read it.

I have no words, just too terrible for words that they made you so insecure and kept pushing.

Wishing you and the dad lots of strength.

    Love Dani

    OMG!!
I also have a serious lump in my throat now!
I hesitated to ask, but the fact that you're writing this here is a warning for others and I think that's incredibly brave of you!!

That little one should indeed have gone straight into the incubator!!
Was the birth caused by the amniocentesis or would this have happened anyway?

I can't put into words how terrible I find this for you and I truly hope from the bottom of my heart that you can find a place for it,
although you'll surely need a lot of time for that!

My husband also lost a baby and he says: You can't process the loss of a child, but you can learn to live with it. But it takes time. A lot of time!

Give yourself time! And I hope you get good support from people around you.
    Strength! Love, Olivia.

Hi Olivia Anna, I haven't been here for a while. How are you doing? By the way, things are going a bit better for me too. Oh, and happy new year to all of you! I hope you reply soon.

    Hi hi girls,

On King's Day I was 5 weeks pregnant and lost some dark red/brown blood. I didn't think too much of it at the time because I knew you can lose some blood as long as it's not a lot and not bright red, so I thought everything was fine. On that Thursday, a midwife from "Moeders voor Moeders" came by for registration. I had to do a pregnancy test then, and it was negative The second one was very faintly positive, but I still had a knot in my stomach. I called the midwife and made an appointment for a week later because it was too early for an ultrasound. The next day, Friday, I suddenly lost quite a bit of blood, like I had gotten my period. I didn't have very severe cramps in my stomach, just some mild cramping. I called the midwife right away, and she said I had had a miscarriage I bled through the whole weekend, and it stopped on Monday.

Because of the miscarriage, I wasn't sure if I should expect my period on the normal date or if it could be later due to the miscarriage. Since I was supposed to get my period yesterday, I took a test this morning anyway, and to my surprise, it showed I was pregnant. I immediately went and got a Clearblue test, and that one even showed 3+, meaning I'm more than 5 weeks pregnant.

I really don't know what to make of this. Luckily, I have an ultrasound early tomorrow to see what's going on.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Or do you have any idea why the test was negative at first and is now positive again?

    Best, Sann
  15. sann Guest #35

Well, had the ultrasound this morning and no pregnancy was visible Everything is so confusing right now. I'm just waiting for my period to start... If it's not here in 2 weeks, I'll have another ultrasound.
  16. Tamara Guest #36

I've had a little bit of bleeding for a few days, and this morning there was suddenly quite a bit. I'm 14 weeks pregnant, but I don't have any stomach pain or anything. I have been quite busy over the past few days. The midwife just came by, and the heartbeat is clearly there. I need to rest. I am a bit worried...

    Hi everyone,

I had heavy bleeding at 12 weeks, which led to a blood clot forming. As a result, I had regular brown discharge and then bleeding again at 16 weeks. The gynecologist said this was due to the clot and also noticed that my cervix was only 1.5 cm long. Last Thursday, the clot finally passed, and the bleeding has stopped so far. But now I'm experiencing a lot of brown discharge.

Next week, we have a check-up and the 20-week ultrasound. We're happy to go, but also scared to hear bad news.

Here too, at 13 weeks and 3 days, sudden bleeding! Really startled and went straight to the hospital, but everything was still okay with the baby, good heartbeat, movement, good growth, uterus was fine. They also didn't find anything in the urine, everything was fine. Lost first baby at 7.5 months, the fear that something might go wrong again this time is really big!
