Bloeding

Phew, I’ve had a stressful morning. When I went to the toilet at work, I suddenly had quite a bit of bleeding. Naturally, I panicked... So I went straight home, where the midwife was also coming. Sieb came home right away too. Luckily, everything is okay with the baby; I just need to take it easy today. Apparently, I did too much yesterday (our friends were moving, and we were there all day. I didn’t lift much, but apparently, it was still too much). Pffff, I really scared myself to death; what a panic a person can suddenly have. It was very reassuring to hear the baby’s heartbeat so clearly afterward.

Have you ever had bleeding? I’m now 18 weeks and 3 days, and before this, I never lost even a single drop of blood. I hope this is the last time.

Oh Simone, I’d be scared out of my wits too. Luckily everything is fine with the little one!

My sister did have some bleeding. Quite often actually, but luckily there was nothing wrong with it. I only lost a bit of brownish stuff in the beginning, but nothing after that.

    So girl, take it easy!

    Love, Esther

    Hi Simone,

I also moved in January and had bleeding twice. Luckily, everything was fine with my girl. But it was quite a scare. The midwife told me then that I should take it easy from now on and that it could be due to stress and busyness. So, rest!!

Good luck because I know from experience that this isn't a pleasant experience and it makes you feel very insecure!

    Best, Nicole

Hey, I also had some occasional bleeding from Monday to last Saturday, which later turned brown, and since Saturday it's stopped... The gynecologist says this could probably be implantation bleeding. I'm going to see the gynecologist tomorrow and hope everything is okay with the baby ;-)

Thanks, ladies! So far so good, no more fresh bleeding (just a little brownish residue on Tuesday and Wednesday), so I’m feeling a bit more relieved. Can’t wait for the 20-week ultrasound next Wednesday.

I was 9 weeks and 5 days pregnant today. Had an emergency ultrasound due to bleeding... miscarriage...

Oh Kim, poor thing. I think that's absolutely terrible for you :-(
Wishing you lots of strength in the coming times with your loss.

Strength, Kim. I find it really hard to read about things like that right now...

Got some bad news yesterday... No heartbeat anymore... Mk:-(

Strength to you, Kim and Kina. I had a miscarriage half a year ago at 12 weeks. You just want to tell people and then this happens :-(. I'm now 23 weeks again. I hope you'll be blessed with that happiness again soon, and also when you're ready for it!!!

    Sending strength to Kina too.

I had really bad uterine cramps yesterday morning (I think it was stress from work), which was quite scary. Luckily no bleeding, and then it suddenly stopped... Phew, I'll be glad when Wednesday comes and we can do the ultrasound

I find being pregnant kind of scary.

We got a Bugaboo Frog from friends, completely set up with a Maxicosi (second-hand), so that saves us 1200 euros, and it still looks great

Hey Rian, it's indeed not nice to always be worried. We're rooting for you! It'll definitely work out. ;-)

I had my 20-week scan, and everything was good I'm relieved now. It's (is) a girl And now the big wait... and growing, haha (although I've already gained almost 8 kilos, it's happening fast)

Hi Simone, that's great news for you! That must have been such a relief. I hope you can relax a bit now!

Simone, that's nice to hear. I also only really start enjoying it after 20 weeks.

    Girls, good luck!

    Hi!
I've been experiencing bleeding every day since the beginning of my pregnancy, which is now at 20 weeks.
All my ultrasounds have been fine, and the 20-week scan showed everything was good with the baby.
Unfortunately, it seems to happen more often than you'd think... It's quite stressful, I can tell you....

    @Rozemarijn,
It doesn't sound so good, implantation bleeding is like that at 7 weeks from what I've read.
Tomorrow you can only go for an ultrasound, it's a pity that they don't even make time for you..

I hope everything is okay with your baby and that it was a late implantation bleed, but I can't say for sure because I haven't experienced it myself..
Let me know how it went..

Wishing you lots of strength tomorrow.

    Love, Ju

And unfortunately: it turned out to be a miscarriage. I ended up being admitted to the hospital (due to heavy bleeding) and had a D&C.
