What do you think of Hazel?

We think Hazel is a lovely name, especially with the Dutch pronunciation... For me, it was an unfamiliar name, so I'm still a bit hesitant. That's why I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance for your reply!

Personally, I'm not so into the name, mainly because I find it sounds a bit 'dreamy' and I always have the feeling that your child might be less happy with it when they're older.
But....if you think it's a nice name, you should definitely go for it! Not everyone likes the names we've chosen either, and that's totally fine .

When it's pronounced in English, I think it's a beautiful name!!!

I think it's a beautiful name. I know a Turkish girl who has that name, but I don't know how to spell her name.

I immediately think of the cartoon Hazel and the Big Hare. I can't really see it as a name for a child, but I think I would get used to the name if you're into originality, then it's a good choice

I think Hazel sounds nice in English. Not so much in Dutch, but that's personal.

It also makes me think of the cartoon Hazeltje
If you like it, just go for it—it's your baby after all. It's not a name I would give to one of my daughters, but there are probably people who wouldn't choose the names of my children either. Anyway, it's certainly a special name for your child, at least not the umpteenth Lieke or Emma.
There's nothing wrong with that either, of course, but you get what I mean

    Beautiful in English!

Beautiful! I see a stunning little girl with brown eyes.

I think it's such a lovely name! It was on our list too. We eventually crossed it off because we were worried it would get shortened to "Haas" and lead to teasing.

It's beautiful in English. In Dutch, it's really not my taste.

There's also a YouTuber, Elise Joanne. Her daughter's name is Hazel, pronounced with a Dutch accent.
