What could this be? - Contractions..

Rowena
This is my second pregnancy.
With my first, I was induced at 40+3 because I was already 4cm dilated.
So I don't know what a spontaneous birth feels like, nor how it feels when it starts.

Last time I had no dilation at all, just hard contractions. And that was 2 weeks ago.
Today I have even more hard contractions and stabbing pains underneath, and also the feeling that our little one could drop out any moment. Since evening, it seems like she's even pushing, it doesn't really hurt, it's more of a very unpleasant/irritating feeling, exactly like she's fighting her way out. The stabbing pains still come and go.

What do you think this could be? I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow, so it would be a bit early.

    Hey Rowena,

did you get any more news by now since you posted yesterday?
I also had a lot of contractions at the end! but I went to the hospital every time I had doubts, at the hospital where I gave birth they always said, better come and check to be sure it's not the moment! but they were false contractions!
and when the real contractions started I didn't want to go again for nothing, I watched those contractions for a few hours, it was like with you, not painful but quite irritating, so I went anyway and I already had 4cm dilation.

    so go check anyway Rowena

good luck, I wish you a smooth delivery

They could indeed be contractions. I'm curious to see how it all unfolds. Good luck with the delivery! Hopefully, it's a natural birth. Love, sweetheart

I was going to go, but I decided to call first.
According to them, it was because our little one is dropping down, and they didn’t think it was necessary for me to come by since I have an appointment next week. Unless it’s real contractions, then I had to come.

This morning it was a bit better again
Hope she stays put after all!

    Hang in there, Rowena!

Take care of yourself, and make sure to rest as much as possible. Stress can also cause hardening of the belly and trigger contractions!

    Warm regards

Hi, I had a question. I'm now 35 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first baby. Since this morning, I've had a very quiet feeling; my little one was super active in my belly, and now I have a very heavy feeling in my belly and my back hurts quite a bit. Does anyone have experience with this?

I'd also guess it's contractions, and you'll know when it's real, don't be afraid.
