You can just breastfeed after a C-section!
Of course you can!
I’m most afraid that something might be wrong with my baby...
The birth.. Well, that’s just how it is! We have good healthcare here so everything will be fine.. There are countries where people have it much worse.... -
Olivia-Anna #22
Haha yes Lexi
My boyfriend always says: How many countries are there where the mother works on the land, gives birth, puts the little one in a sling on her back, and goes back to working on the land...
My mom was selling in her furniture store (our house at the time)
and people asked, "Isn't your belly a bit smaller now?"
"Oh yes, of course, I gave birth 3 hours ago, the little one (that's me)
is sleeping upstairs in her crib!!"
So glad to know you can breastfeed after a C-section!! With an acquaintance of mine it didn't work out, maybe she wasn't very determined...
Thank you all!! -

I was scared that labor would never, ever start!!! -
Olivia-Anna #24
Hihihi..
Yeah, you know that feeling, right? "I know it's impossible, but I still want to be the first!!"
Actually, we never really know exactly how far along we are, do we?
So I made up my mind beforehand not to keep a specific date in mind.
On the contrary, I push it away from me; I just love that round belly (still do..). -

Haha, that would be something—a pop-belly, haha. No, I think I'll just give birth around 40 weeks like with the other two... I'm scared of something, I don't even know what... and that everything goes wrong. Trying to let it go with humor, just like Olivia-anna. But I find it pretty difficult. Tomorrow 25 weeks, still. But 15 then, of course...
Well, girls, stay strong and let's remember that many women have gone before us.

Hi ladies!
Like so many others, I’m really scared of tearing or getting an episiotomy, and then that epidural!! I’m truly a chicken when it comes to pain and needles, but here’s one little reassurance: let’s first see if I can get pregnant
I already know, I’m willing to do it!!

Hi Patricia,
Good luck with trying to conceive!
I've been scared of back labor for 3 days now.
It's been incredibly painful through my back, and oh my god, the pain is something else....
But one advantage is that this pain has already lasted for 3 days, so the birth will probably (I can hope for it!!) go a bit faster haha -

heya,
I was so scared I wouldn't love my child... weird, right.
That my reaction would be when they showed me my baby: "wow, no, put it back in".
But it turned out fine, she was a beautiful girl and I (and still do) love her with all my heart. I love that little one more and more every day. -

Hi ladies,
I'm mostly afraid that a C-section will be necessary. Because I absolutely don't want an epidural! And also for my little guy, who turns as white as a ghost at the sight of the tiniest drop of blood!! I'm also dreading tearing or episiotomy...
But unfortunately, it's all part of the process, and I'm convinced that once you hold that little miracle in your arms, you'll forget all the pain... -

When I was pregnant with my oldest, I was dreading the episiotomy/tearing. Not that I was scared of it, but it didn't seem like much fun. In the end, I got an episiotomy during the birth and I didn't feel a thing at all. They make that cut during a contraction, and since the skin is so stretched then, you don't feel anything
.
My son was born via C-section. I didn't really get the chance to worry about it beforehand because I went into labor 2 days before the scheduled C-section. But I don't look back on that C-section negatively either.
So now it's the third one. The only thing I'm a bit apprehensive about are the back labor pains, because those weren't pleasant.
And the postpartum check with the OB-GYN.................. I'm really dreading that! It doesn't amount to much, it doesn't hurt, it's very short, but the thought of having to lie there half-naked in front of that man/woman.............. brrrrrrrrrrrrr. -

I'm dreading having to stay in bed for a few more days. I had to with the first one too, and of course that doesn't mean it'll be the same this time.
Since our little one needs to have surgery, I really want to get back on my feet quickly so I can still be close by.
So I'd rather not have a C-section; I think you recover slower from that, don't you?
On the other hand, I realized that our little one would have less stress with a C-section, which is good for building up strength before the operation.
Well, I guess I shouldn't worry too much about it; things will happen as they happen, and it's not predictable for now. -

I'm scared that the baby might need to be delivered via C-section at the last minute... I'd really prefer everything to happen naturally... so no epidural either (also because I've heard that you don't feel the baby coming out)... -

I have to say I wasn't scared of anything until yesterday when I saw KS on TV again and thought, no way, I really don't want that! But now I'm also dreading induction, yet I'm longing so much for the moment it starts. I'm so fed up! I really want my girl to come as soon as possible so the pain will go away for me too, so... -

That's the beautiful thing about a 9-month pregnancy. You're just fed up by the end, sick of all the ailments you don't want anymore, and I can imagine you just want the little one to come out.
By then, I'll be like, whatever, how it happens, it hurts anyway, whether it's a normal birth or a C-section, I don't care anymore.
Ideally, it'll just happen naturally, but if it doesn't, what's the point of stressing and worrying? Nothing, it has to happen anyway..... -
Mommy-Of-Nyana #35
Hi Dani, that's true, a birth can't happen without pain... how did they say it at my hospital again? A painful birth is a good birth because your body naturally produces painkillers for the baby so it has less trouble with the birth... yeah, getting a baby in is very simple but getting it out is a whole different story, of course hehe.. I still remember well that my mom said, "Sweetie, should I now tell you what grandma always used to say to us?" And I was like, "What?" Having babies is easy and pleasant but buying little ones is painful and harder! I thought that was great.. In the end, I was also very scared, especially about a C-section, but you know, so much is going to come at us that day that you won't even have time to stress about it, and anyway, the little one has to come out whether we want it to or not... And once you have the little one in your arms, you've probably already forgotten most of the pain!! -
Dani #36
You're absolutely right, and your mom is too!
First birth was painful, yes, but on the other hand, I'm so incredibly looking forward to it—maybe it sounds weird?
After waiting so long for a second child and trying to accept that it wasn't in the cards, now there's this lovely little miracle in my belly again, and I'd really love to experience a normal birth, especially since the future dad only had a C-section when his son was born.
I'd also really love to do this together, and then..........I just can't wait to cuddle and take care of our little one
.
Haha, I'm feeling a bit emotional today; just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes.
Probably has something to do with the fact that I've already spent half the morning ironing those adorable little clothes in my hands....
First, I need to take good care of myself and the little one who's still safe and warm inside me!!!! -
Mommy-Of-Nyana #37
Dani, you're absolutely right... yes, my mom and grandma are totally right! Honestly, I'm looking forward to the birth, it's our first little miracle, but still... and like you, I'm feeling a bit emotional today
I've already put some clothes in the closet, such cute little outfits... I got a lot of hand-me-downs which saves a lot, and everything was either brand new or only worn once... my nieces and nephews, and when the mom says "that's too much ironing," they just leave it on the attic for convenience, but I can't help but think it's good to have them
I just neatly put away and sorted the 50-56 sizes, and tomorrow it's the 62 sizes' turn
And so on, I have 1-2 laundry baskets full of each size up to 80.. both boys and girls
Well, girl stuff is already sorted for us, and for boy clothes, the neutral ones like blue tops and those pants with socks attached... it's okay if nothing is left over, but we can move forward hehe...
So rest in time and order!! I just sat down in my armchair because I was feeling a bit tired and got back pain...
Spoil yourself nicely and also your little one!
Love

I have absolutely no fears about the birth, luckily.
My boyfriend, on the other hand, does.
He can't stand blood at all, and he's already worried.
I hope he'll be "present" throughout the whole birth.
This is our first pregnancy. -

I’ve had this feeling for a while: "No need to stress about anything, we’ll see when the time comes." Still, I do worry a bit.
But now that the end is near, I have to be honest:
I’m afraid I won’t be able to handle the pain and will end up needing an epidural, which I absolutely don’t want!!
Or maybe I’ll faint! I’m prone to that anyway...
But otherwise, I really don’t want to stress myself out. Even if you’re induced or know you’ll have a C-section, you just don’t know how you’ll react until the moment arrives, so there’s no point in worrying beforehand, right? -

(Have since given birth to a great son Finn) The afterbirth seemed the worst to me, so that wasn't it. Let me tell you about the pushing stage, because I really didn't like that at all. Pushing was a hell of a thing in my opinion. And also quite a few stitches down below.
