Mucus plug

Yesterday I think I lost my mucus plug, but I’m really doubting it... On Saturday I had really strong contractions that were regular too, got checked at the hospital, false alarm...

My question is, can it still take a long time? I’m now 38+1 weeks pregnant and I’m so done with it, I don’t want this belly anymore!

My pregnancy was a dream, I had no discomfort at all, literally nothing... She turned at a pretty late stage last week, so that’s extra icing on the cake that I can have a normal delivery!

How long did it take for you after losing the mucus plug until birth?

Love, Levina

    hey

I had 2 cm dilation at 37 weeks, lost my mucus plug at 38 weeks. I'm now 39 weeks and still walking around. This is my second baby; with my first, it went better: at 39.5 weeks I lost my first bloody show and broke water half an hour later. I'm also tired of my belly and the nausea. I understand you; I also thought that after losing the mucus plug, my water would break half an hour later, but no, he doesn't want to come. It's quite frustrating for my partner too, who is waiting for his first son. I didn't know what a mucus plug looked like either; I searched for images on Google because with my daughter there was more blood and not really mucus, but people tell me I've lost it anyway. The mucus plug, pff, it's waiting, girl, until your baby feels like coming. I have to wait too, and I get occasional contractions now and then, but they don't amount to much.

I hope to be done with this week and to hold our baby in our arms.

    Lots of love, Tally

Unfortunately, we don't have control over it... I haven't seen any blood... That apparently varies from woman to woman... Pfff, I don't like waiting, it's really hard for me right now...

I hope we can cuddle our little one soon too...

Haha that's so funny! Yeah, I've already cleaned the house for the third time this week and I've packed my hospital bag 8 times haha... How crazy! But let's see if they wait until my mom is here because I live in Vienna! Exciting times...

Hang in there Tally! We're women, we can do this! Will you check in again once your baby is born?!

I have really good news! I’m finally done. Our son Tyano was born on August 28th. I did have some bleeding first and then contractions, so we went straight to the clinic. He was born at 9:45. He’s a sweet little guy, 2.78 kg and 52 cm. Really lovely, and I was only in the hospital for 3 days. I’m home for the first time today.

Let me know if you’ll also share when you’ve given birth. Greetings, Tally

    Oh, what a wonderful feeling!

    Enjoy your little boy! Xxx

it's possible you could give birth at any moment. i can only tell you to rest enough and everything will work out. i'm enjoying it to the fullest, especially because he's a calm baby, no fuss, sleeps well, etc. he's really a little angel. i couldn't imagine life without him anymore. even dad is as proud as a peacock x

keep me updated and enjoy those last moments with your big belly, because i do miss it sometimes, hehe. but i have my little one now, and it's super fun.

    greetings, tally and tyano

    Still nothing...

I'm sooo fed up... I'll be 40 weeks pregnant on Monday... I want to cuddle the baby, go for walks with the stroller, and enjoy the mountains here...

    How are you doing?!

I totally get it, we had that too, it's so tough! He's doing well, he only cries when he has a dirty diaper or wants a bottle. He really looks like my dad, he has almost nothing except the nose haha. He's gained quite a bit, he now weighs 2 kg 900 and a bit. He's really a good boy, I can't complain. Only the dad is letting things slide at night and I feel the stress on the relationship. I'm under a lot of stress because I'm arguing with his parents who are so involved pff 4 weeks before I was supposed to give birth they caused trouble and just did whatever they wanted. It wasn't possible in the hospital, I was so stressed. Well, we're trying to keep our relationship good despite how hard it is. We'll see.

Will they induce you or something? Because I was also scared that I'd go overdue. It's tough having such a pregnancy. I'm afraid I might be pregnant again because we have sex quite often. It seems like an addiction after 39 weeks, being so nauseous. I can't stand my boyfriend's body anymore, it's quite unpleasant because I haven't been on the pill for a while. I hope not, but the urge is stronger than me. And soon you'll have your little one too. Mine can already hold his head up well at 8 days and has good crawling movements. It goes by so fast, before I know it he'll be walking.

I'll keep you updated. Let me know when you've given birth.
    Greetings, Tally

    hey girl

Good to hear that everything is okay... I went in yesterday... Had contractions but no dilation... Only 1 cm. Now I'm back in the afternoon with a gel. I'm curious, I really hope she comes... I'm now 41 weeks + 1 day pregnant, girl!

Nooo, don't mean it.. Ah, that won't be the case, hey... You're not leaking anymore, right? X

Oh my, it's been 41 weeks already, so it's time! Well, my period hasn't come yet. If you can't have sex for 39 weeks because it hurts and you feel nauseous, you really want it even more. Today I had a hearing test at the child and family center. Our little boy can hear well; he's 3 weeks old now and weighs 3kg 410g. He's doing well. I'll be home by November 5th, then I have to work for 1 week and get my C4. I hope it comes quickly for you too. We're enjoying it fully, but the nights between me and my boyfriend are going much better now. He's recovered, but good, I thought we had grown apart. Everything will be fine. We're waiting to see if I'm pregnant again. They say no, that it would be quick, but you never know. I'll keep you updated about our little man.

Keep me updated about yours. Greetings, Tally and Tyano.

Hey, I did get my blood drawn after all, I just couldn't handle the nausea anymore. Apparently, I'm not pregnant, but I have to have a stomach exam on September 30th. I'm not looking forward to it. I would've preferred to be pregnant. I'll keep you posted. Hope you've already given birth. x
