Hey ladies,

I'm new here, and this is such a great forum, I've come across so many useful things.
But my fear of childbirth is huge!
I'm now 39 weeks and 5 days, so any moment now!
I hope you still have some tips, and can reassure me a bit!

Xxx Maaike

    @Maaike,

    Let it wash over you, trust your partner or midwife/doctor.. Make clear agreements with your husband.. By the way, have you made a birth plan... It's very handy with regard to possible things that don't go as planned..

    Good luck with the delivery..

    Greetings Ju or maybe MavanMi

    Letting go and just going with it works best.
    And don't listen to or read weird stories, just think that every woman can do it.

    One thing I can say is that I was happy it started, and after 8 hours he was born, and then you forget about it immediately—at least that's how it was for me.

    My son is now 8 weeks old.
    I'm open to having a second one, but not right now.

    Looking back, I really see it as something beautiful that I definitely want to experience again. It definitely hurts, but it's like being on a fast train. Before you know it, you have your little one in your arms. And that moment makes everything right. The most beautiful moment of your life. Try to look forward to that instead of thinking too much about the birth. If it were such a terrible thing, people wouldn't have more 2nd or 3rd kids, I'd say. And I was also worried because of all the wild stories around me. I didn't even have any pain medication and I thought it was beautiful!!!
