When did you get your period again after giving birth?

    Hi Chantal,
    I only stopped having postpartum bleeding after 6 weeks, and 4 weeks later I got my period, so after 10 weeks!!!

    But the bleeding will happen on its own, of course, your cycle changes too!

    Dear ladies,
    I'd really like to know what's wrong with me or if I'm pregnant? I gave birth on April 21st and started the mini-pill then. I didn't have any bleeding at all while on the mini-pill and was also breastfeeding. After 5 months, I switched to the regular pill and have now finished the first pack, but I still haven't had my period. I'm supposed to start my new pack on Tuesday. Could this mean I'm pregnant?? I have a 6-month-old baby and I'm not looking forward to another pregnancy. Hope to hear from you all.

    Next week it'll be 7 months since I gave birth, and I'm still not on my period. For the first 6 months I was pumping full-time, and now I've been exclusively breastfeeding for three weeks at her request. My daughter only gets breast milk.

    I gave birth to a beautiful son 4 weeks ago, breastfed for 3 weeks, and since yesterday I’ve gotten my period again. Seems pretty early if I look at how long it takes for everyone else????

    I bled for 10 weeks after giving birth. Terrible, but it does happen sometimes. My placenta didn't detach. So right after birth, I was taken to the OR under anesthesia. According to the gynecologist, that was related. The placenta was hard to remove. So the internal wound was quite severe. And I had developed pregnancy-induced hypertension. So my body really needed some time, you know. After 3 months, my period came back normally, even though I'd already had my contraceptive injection a week after giving birth. So my body was a bit thrown off balance.

    I had my first one at 8 weeks and it lasted 11 days. Normally, my second one should have started 12 days ago, but... nothing.
