Moluccan baby name

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are looking for a special, tough-sounding name. Since I'm half Moluccan, we were thinking of maybe a Moluccan baby name. I did some searching online, but I couldn't really find any distinctly Moluccan names.

Hopefully, someone here can help us with a few names. Girl or boy doesn't matter.
Also, non-Moluccan, separate tough-sounding names are welcome!

My name (Mazony) isn't a typical Moluccan name. It's a combination of my parents' first names ????

Up until the second generation of Moluccans who came to the Netherlands in the fifties, there were two kinds of names. Namely, either names of people from the Bible or names of members of the Dutch royal family.
Names of all the apostles were common, as well as names like Zacharias and Nicodemus. Favorite names of members of the Dutch royal family were Willem from King Willem I, II or III. Or those of Prince Hendrik, the husband of Queen Wilhelmina. Wilhelmina and her mother Sophia were common names. Juliana also appeared regularly as a name in the second generation.
Moluccans often shortened call names, often out of affection. Many ojang or opa were called Endik from Hendrik. And oma Mien from Wilhelmina was common.
In the second generation, a group of Moluccans were born on the ship to the Netherlands. Most were named after the ship. I have a nephew named Asturias because his parents and older brothers and sisters sailed to the Netherlands on the ship with the name.

Interesting fact! I always thought it was purely about Christian names. So Willem, that's a nice alternative if you don't go for the classic Biblical names. By the way, is it still common to choose such a specific historical name, or was that really mostly for those first generations?
