What fears do you have about the birth? I'm super worried about having contractions for days, for example.
Just share it in this topic Maybe it'll help lighten the load!

I'm now pregnant with my second, and the first one wasn't easy at all... so yeah, it's pretty nerve-wracking again haha

    Hi everyone,
I had an emergency C-section during my first birth because my son's heart rate suddenly dropped. This after 10+ hours of contractions and 7 cm dilation... And 4 weeks earlier, they had turned him because he was in a breech position. Painful, but it all went well so I could give birth naturally. So we're not doing that again

I hope the next birth will be less anxiety-inducing.... Maybe I should just opt for a C-section directly (hopefully!).

Does anyone here have experience with this?

I looked up everything I could find about different types of births. It gave me a sense of security!! I also saw and read some terrible things, and despite that, a huge calm came over me. I felt prepared for everything and kept saying to my belly: "We can do this!! We're a strong team!!" My birth was a fantastic experience, and I recognized everything that was happening; I handled it very calmly. (My husband even fell asleep twice!! Hihihi!!) I was afraid I wouldn't be able to handle the pain, but in the end, it was even less than I expected!! (Even with the internal rotation they had to perform, my daughter was a little stargazer and couldn't be born in the position she was in.)

Don't put too much pressure on yourself, because you never know how "your" birth will be! Take care of your inner peace and convince yourself that you can do it!
