I'm lucky that the hospital is only a 5-minute walk away (if you can cross at a reasonably busy road), so they'd take me there right away, especially since my midwife's practice is there. I'm feeling quite fiery thanks to the hormones! My plan is to give birth at home, and I'll only go to the hospital if there's a medical issue or something like a breech position, etc. If I don't want something, I'll just say no But I'm lucky with where I live and the hospital.

Good job, that's a great trait!!!
That helps a lot when it's so close by.

Can you feel the little one moving yet?
Have you had many ultrasounds already?
I tested this morning and got a very faint line. So I still don't know for sure,
sorry to tell you this but I just wanted to share.

I already had some kicks at 13 weeks
Had one ultrasound and went to the GP this morning to record the baby's heartbeat.
    Next ultrasound in 5 weeks.
Shall we stop bothering everyone here and start a private message? XD
I'm fine with you sharing anything

    Hi ladies,
    I'm also hesitating.
The first one was in the hospital, luckily, because she had pooped in the amniotic fluid.
For the second one, I chose to give birth at home, it was wonderful!
Now I want to give birth at home again, but despite my extensive knowledge from my nursing education, I've started doubting. Pfff, sometimes I feel like it's better to know as little as possible, that's what I'm experiencing now.
The hospital is about 20 minutes away from me.
I also thought about a birth hotel, kind of like being at home.
Maybe talking about it with others will help in making a choice.

    Love, Angela

I’d go for the maternity hotel!
Then you’ve had all kinds of births (hospital, home, and maternity hotel)
(maybe not the positions like lying down, half-lying, sitting, etc.)
and all births with their own story.
Not many people can tell that

hi honey, just to answer your question quickly
I didn't like being rushed to the hospital either, I was already almost having contractions in the car and when I finally arrived at the maternity ward of the hospital
I wanted to push but I couldn't anymore
then a doctor said no wait a moment madam, I said I can't wait anymore I can't hold it back
then she looked and suddenly said oh you're right you can start pushing already you're fully dilated she was surprised
I wasn't I already felt it and after one push she was out she was a little girl which made pushing so smooth of course
but anyway the midwife also told me that maybe it's better if you ever give birth to your 3rd child to choose for a home birth
    greetings summer

    Hi,
I chose the hospital (birth clinic, no medical reason) because you have to organize a lot for a home birth. Since I worked full-time until week 36, I only had weekends to get everything ready for the baby. Not to mention that by then, walking and shopping were getting more difficult. I ended up ordering a lot online. But this is just my personal experience; I know women who had everything ready well in advance and enjoy shopping.

Although home is a familiar environment, it also seems nice to just relax after the birth. In the birth clinic, you have 24-hour care, and your partner also needs to recover from all the excitement of the birth. So I’m going to stay in the clinic for a few days until we’re both fit and ready to tackle things. It also feels great to be able to sleep in the first few days after the birth, which isn’t possible now. As a result, you feel tired all day long. Plus, I want to receive the impatient post-birth visits at the clinic; it saves chaos at home. Once we’re home, we want to take care of the baby in peace instead of constantly hosting and entertaining guests. I’m already 39 weeks, so it could happen anytime.

Good luck and strength for your birth.

I completely agree with what anonymous wrote.
It's much more relaxing for yourself too.
And of course, you're broken the first few months.
    Greetings, sunshine

I gave birth in the hospital and it went really well for me
First of all, I already had a medical indication, so I had to anyway.
At the hospital, it turned out our little girl had pooped in the amniotic fluid, so we would have had to go to the hospital anyway.
And finally: during the birth they did an episiotomy and then I had 4 injections (4 veins they had to cut through). So I made a little bloodbath of the delivery room. I shouldn't have thought about giving birth at home like that. Then we would have had to repaint the walls too
