Scheduled C-section but already having contractions now

Hi everyone,
I'm now 37+6 weeks pregnant with our third baby.
Since my previous two births were by C-section, this one will be too.
That's fine in itself...but I've been having contractions for 2.5 weeks now, haven't slept for two nights, and feel awful.
I've already been in touch with the hospital, but as long as it's just contractions, they say to wait and see.
Ugh...I can't even think about having to go through another 1.5 weeks like this until the scheduled C-section.
Does anyone else here have experience with this?
