Period or Implantation

Hey.
After a lot of hesitation, I've decided to post something here anyway.
Since Monday (12/07) I've been having brown discharge. But it's so little that I don't even need to use a panty liner. When I wipe, I see brown flakes in my watery discharge.
Normally, Sunday (18/07) would be the day I'd get my period. Besides that, I'm really bloated and my breasts are itchy. My breasts don't hurt though. I also don't have any cramps or anything like that. Whereas normally I have a lot of stomach pain on the first day of my period.
Pregnancy test was negative. But I tested in the afternoon and not with first morning urine.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Greetings

False alarms aren't that uncommon. They can also happen before your period starts. You tested really early, so it's best to wait until the 18th and test again if your period hasn't started by then.

    Hey,
I was supposed to get my period on Wednesday, but I still haven't. Since last Sunday, I've had some light bleeding that stopped on Tuesday. Normally, my period is much heavier and lasts about a week. I've had mild cramps all week though. I think I should take a test, but I'm scared of another disappointment.

Thanks, mamsie92. Currently, I've had very light brown discharge for 5 days. Not enough to fill even a panty liner. So I'll try again on Monday
Lieke86. Yeah, I get it. If it doesn't break through, I'd think it's implantation. But you only know for sure after the fact.

    Hey everyone,
I had a positive test on Saturday . I had blood drawn today. I think I'm in the 5th week now.
I hope I get good news from you too.

    Congratulations, Lieke!
Unfortunately, I don’t know anything more. I had brown spotting for a whole week back then. And since Saturday, it’s back.. I don’t even need to use a panty liner. So it’s very light, though
