Hi! I'm curious what you think of the name Hazel, do you like it or not? How would you pronounce it? In English (so: Heezel) or in Dutch (Haa-zel), and do you find one of these variants prettier than the other? I'd love to hear from you!! Greetings, Anonymous!

Cute name! I think it sounds better in English. She's definitely going to hear "Hazel Donkey" a few times. But I still like it better in English.

A bit of a quirky name, haha, and I don't necessarily mean that in a negative way. It probably comes from the fact that I've never heard it used for a person.
I sometimes read the book "I Love You from Here to the Moon and Back" to my daughter. It's about a hare, whose name is Hazeltje. So that's my association.
I'm thinking about it for a moment... In English, I don't find it so beautiful. Personally, I prefer simple Dutch names. I don't really like an English-sounding name in our country.
But hey... tastes differ! Definitely choose what you find beautiful. A name is sooooo personal. And in our small country, it's also quite region-specific. Good luck!

Nice name! I mainly know it as Hazel in English, but I don't think the pronunciation "Haazel" is bad either!
