It's still early, I'll be rooting for you guys.
Miscarriage sounds really tough to go through. Hopefully everything is okay now for you.
And yeah, there are many ways to do it, that's true, but I hate doctors and stuff. Anyway, this isn't great either.

I get it, Kim. I also avoided my gynecologist for years. Looking back, I wish I had gone earlier. I had a rough delivery with my last one and didn’t dare go to the hospital anymore... long story. But maybe you don’t have to go to the hospital, and your GP might be able to help.

With my two kids, it also took longer than 1, but now for the third, I went to the hospital for the first time. Not that it helps anything since there's nothing wrong with me, but it's still quite reassuring in a way.

That’s actually pretty much the same for us too. I had extensive tests done and everything looked fine. My husband’s sperm quality was really poor at first, but after some good lifestyle changes, it was tested again this past January and looked super good. My pregnancy went well too, aside from some pelvic instability. We ended up inducing at 38 weeks because of high blood pressure at the end, but that shouldn’t be the cause, right?

Last year we threw everything out the window—no more ovulation tests, no Googling symptoms, etc.—to take the pressure off and just let things happen naturally. But that didn’t help either. I’m only 27 and my husband just turned 30, so it shouldn’t be an age issue, right? It’s just hard to wrap your head around.

That’s what I call unexplainable infertility (even though you’ve managed it once before), but for now it’s just one big mystery.

My ovulation test is negative again now, but since it was positive this morning, I want to push my due date back by one day to August 26th.

    Kim,
First of all, it's really sad to read that it didn't work out.
I read that the sperm quality was poor and that adjustments were made.
May I ask what he did differently?

He quit smoking, lost some weight, and takes zinc tablets every day.
The GP is giving us all the love and support, but she’ll probably tell the gynecologist that my husband was only properly tested starting this January, so they’ll only count from January onwards. The other 2 years don’t count. How ridiculous...
@ ananasje, can you use an ovulation test with morning urine? My gynecologist told me it doesn’t give a clear picture because you always test positive in the morning.
  9. Ikke #69

It really shouldn't be that one has to wait longer than the other to get further help..
Lots of courage Kim.. Hopefully, luck will be on your side soon.
  10. Susanna #70

@Kim, Clear Blue can actually be used with morning urine.
  11. Kim started this #71

Thanks, Ikke! I just spoke with the gynecologist. She’s going to chat with her colleagues about what’s most helpful for us to do.
    @ananasje, I didn’t know that for sure.
Do you take it at the time when another or cheaper test comes back positive?
  12. Susanna #72

@kim I have a regular cycle and I don't find the lines clear, so I always use Clear Blue.
  13. Kim started this #73

Got the Clearblue one this time too, so nice that it gives a smiley when the peak is reached. In the past, I used cheaper ones and it was always a faint line or borderline positive or something. Yesterday it was positive, we did our best after my period and on my fertile days, so I'm curious what it'll bring.
    Any news from you guys?
  14. Susanna #74

I really wish you all the best after so many months! So very exciting in 2 days!

    Hi ladies,
We're already a month further along.
My due date is on Tuesday, but last night I had some pink spotting. Today, I noticed some clear discharge with a kind of thread-like mucus plug mixed with blood.
I find all this quite vague. Normally, I'd expect some brownish discharge a day before, but 4 days before...
How does it work for you all?
  16. Susanna #76

I'm starting ovulation tests again on Tuesday, so not much to report here. Have you been to the hospital yet?
  17. Kim started this #77

We’ve agreed with the OB/GYN to wait until the end of October. If it hasn’t worked out by then, we can come in.
What was expected was that he said we can only start counting from the moment my husband’s results came back normal, and that was about 9 months ago.
  18. Susanna #78

End of October is next month, so that’s after 11 months already? Still faster than I thought
  19. Kim Guest #79

That's right, given the history, he didn't want to wait any longer. For now, just waiting a bit, I've never been too early with a few drops, so I'm curious to see if it will take off.
  20. Susanna #80

Then you'll get help early if needed, right, especially now with Corona But of course I'm hoping with you that you'll be pregnant by then When is your due date?
