Hi!
I'm here because I just need to get this off my chest, maybe get some advice.
My husband and I have been trying for a second baby for 3 years now. Whereas we got pregnant right away the first time (within 2 months), it just won't work now. I've been tested for everything and it should be possible. My husband was tested too; his results were initially very poor, but after lifestyle changes, he was retested in January this year and the results looked super good. Now, this is the first month that I'm really experiencing some symptoms. At 2 dpo I suddenly felt very nauseous for a short moment, lasting 2 days. For the past 5 days or so, I've been having waves of severe nausea, sometimes feeling tired (well, it's also extremely hot outside). My breasts are intermittently tender, and I have a sort of muscle ache feeling lower in my belly. I read here that the chance of pregnancy is high, but after 3 years, I can't or won't believe it anymore, even though secretly I'm hoping for the first time.
My period should be on Monday, assuming his last cycles were always 26 days. What do you think, do you have experiences? Feel free to share your thoughts, I just needed to get this out this time.

Wow, that's intense and especially frustrating since it happened so quickly the first time. It's great that your partner's lifestyle has such a positive influence. Are you following a specific plan, or are you just trying spontaneously?

Hi, no, we're not in a program. I've always said that I want to do it naturally.

Then I think it's really impressive that you can keep it up for so long. Do you ever test for UTIs?

I've learned that lesson by now. There was a time when I was so obsessed with it that my period got completely thrown off schedule, and I even had some tests done based on that.
I then threw away the ovulation tests, etc. I'm lucky that I always feel my ovulation very well, so I don't really need tests anymore.
This is the first time in a year that I'm looking up a forum again because things feel a bit different than usual.

Do you think you can wait until you're due with the tests?

I really hope so. I keep reminding myself that it's such a waste of money, so I don't want to go get it any earlier than after Wednesday.

I’ve actually been testing for NOD in the last few months because I’ve lost patience. I don’t expect anything to happen anymore, but when I see a negative test, I expect my period, so the disappointment isn’t as big.

Hey! How brave that you're still looking on the bright side and trying again after such a long time!
2dpo is maybe a bit early to feel nauseous? It could also be due to the hormonal fluctuations that make you feel sick.. I had 3 cycles where I had to vomit on my ovulation
I really hope for you! If it's any comfort, my NED is also Monday & I'm feeling and thinking all sorts of things again

Those complaints can also be related to your ovulation, although I sincerely hope you're pregnant—it's so deserved after all these years.

I do always have some complaints around ovulation, but they've never been anything other than sensitive breasts and stabbing pains in my left groin/abdomen, and quite a bit of bloating down there, to put it mildly.
This is really the first time I've been nauseous for a few days after, and then for about 5 days now I've been having waves of nausea.
As I said, I don't believe it anymore, but now it's really different. It's not just in my head because I desperately want to feel something, you know? I've had that time, which is why I really needed to let it out.

How brave that you're still so positive about it!
The symptoms you describe do sound good. However, when we were trying for our first, I had quite a few of these "symptoms" for a few months when it wasn't successful, and when it finally was, I had absolutely no symptoms/ailments until after my NOD... every body is so different. I really hope you'll get a positive test very soon!

I had about the same symptoms with the first one, but since we were just starting out back then, I didn’t think much of it at the time. It only became clear later on.

I hope so too, but we’ll see.

Then your story sounds very promising, and I can only say that I'd really wish it for you.

Thank you! I'll let you know as soon as I know more.

I'm getting cramps and back pain again, so I think my period is coming. Unfortunately.

What a bummer! Your body can really play tricks on you. I had a little hope because it felt different than usual.

I really had a bit of hope again, but maybe next time will be better.
Now just waiting to see when it kicks in.

    Still no period yet.
I do get occasional sharp back pain, but no more stomach cramps.
My breasts are incredibly sore—they’re not swollen anymore, but they really hurt.
I’m so curious to see if this is what it’s supposed to feel like!

When do you dare to do a test?
