I’m actually really scared. I’ve decided to test on Saturday, if I get my period, of course.

    When is your due date?
  3. Kim started this #23

    Today!
At least my cycle is always 26 days.
But for the first one it was often 28 days, so it could also be Wednesday.
  4. Anoniem Guest #24

Why don't you do a test tomorrow?
  5. Kim started this #25

Because sometimes I have a 28-day cycle, and then the due date would be Wednesday. I just don't want to test too early.
  6. Anoniem Guest #26

Then I'd test on Thursday, but I totally get your anxiety after all these years.
  7. Kim started this #27

That's what I'm thinking, but if nothing comes through by Thursday, I'll have good hope.
  8. Anoniem Guest #28

I’d really, really love for you to have it—you’ve waited so long. How old is your first little one again?
  9. Kim Guest #29

Our daughter turned 4 in May.
  10. Anoniem Guest #30

So you started when she was about 1? That's a nice age to start on a second one. How many rounds did it take to get pregnant?
  11. Kim started this #31

That's true, with our daughter it was in round 2 after stopping the pill that it worked right away.
That's why it's so hard to grasp that it's not working now.
  12. Anoniem Guest #32

And yet they say that after stopping the pill, it can take up to a year for your cycle to return to normal. Well, for me it's easier: it's now the 3rd time it's taken longer than a year. 32 months, 14 months, and now round 20.
  13. Kim Guest #33

That is quite long too, it can become so frustrating at some point.
    When is your due date?
I've now developed a strange complaint, which is occasional sharp pain in the hip and groin. This is so weird, I don't recognize this at all.

I only got a positive ovulation test today, so August 25th. Your symptoms are starting to look more and more promising. Do you think you can wait a bit before testing?
  15. Kim started this #35

Okay, so now it's all about renovating for you guys. And yeah, I can wait. After 3 years, there's still little hope for a positive test.
  16. Susanna #36

And after 3 years, those few days can definitely be added too... I'm hoping for a positive test for you guys finally!
  17. Noor #37

Big respect to you both for keeping up the hope after all this time. I just came across your topic and read eagerly to the end, hoping to see a positive test, but you’ve got more patience than I could ever muster (even as a lurker haha). Cheering you on!!!
  18. Kim started this #38

That's so sweet of you both! Thank you for the kind messages.
Still no period or cramps today either. Based on my last cycle, I'm now 1 day late, but I'll keep waiting patiently and plan to hold off until today and tomorrow anyway.

Oh Kim, that's so exciting, now just waiting for those days! The breast changes and cramps and stuff can really point to pregnancy! You can get quite a lot of cramps during implantation... and that they're less or gone now could very well be...

I really don't want to give you any hope because after trying for so long, the disappointment would be huge if it's not. But we're definitely hoping it's a hit here, and the symptoms do seem to fit!

Let us know when you've tested on Thursday or Saturday? Or of course if your period starts... but I really hope it doesn't come and that you'll have a beautiful clear positive test in a few days!

Kim (guest) oh my, that’s so nerve-wracking. I feel you so much. Those symptoms are tough, you know. I was pregnant within a few months with my first two kids. Now, for the third, it took a year to get pregnant, and last January I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks. It just doesn’t want to happen quickly for us right now. I’m also feeling all sorts of things. Muscle pain in my lower abdomen, sometimes heartburn, and sore breasts. But yeah... I also had symptoms like sore breasts in previous months. Frustrating. But these symptoms can also be part of pregnancy, and it’s certainly possible that you are pregnant now. I’m having my test this weekend. I’m with you and rooting for you. Hope it worked out for you
