cycle monitoring help please
Milsani123Guest ·
Hi,
I still have a desire for a child at a later age (I'm 40 now). I already have older kids but want one more before it's definitely too late. We've been trying for a year now and aren't pregnant yet... last month we started with cycle monitoring. The blood tests and egg measurements sometimes feel a bit unnecessary to me because I know exactly when my ovulation is, and I'm already tired of the bruises from the blood pricks, even though I've only just started!
How long does this cycle monitoring usually take? And what are the next steps and when do they happen? Honestly, I'm a bit apprehensive about getting caught up in the medical machine. I had 3 eggs of good size on the ultrasound/cycle monitoring, so I don't think egg stimulation will be necessary...
Who else is already in this process or further along and wants to chat? What if I don't want IVF or to have my fallopian tubes flushed? Should I start with that anyway? Sorry for the 'weird' questions, but it's my first time. I got pregnant spontaneously before (with a different partner decades ago). Any info and encouragement is welcome. Love, Milsani
