Haha Betty, that's so relatable. I always say that too. How old is your son? Mine is almost 6 and now he turns it back on me: "Mom, I really still have too much energy to sleep"
My 5-year-old says she still has too much energy, especially with this heat. She can't go outside all day, which she loves so much. Yesterday she went to bed right with us. I wasn't home either, which didn't help.
It's really nice TO that things are going so well now!
We're getting the keys to our new house tomorrow. I'm quite nervous about them sleeping in their new room and house. I've deliberately left the beds unwashed for a while so it smells familiar. I also bought a baby monitor with 2 units so I can hear them well and they know about it. Once we're used to it, we'll start working on bedtime routines, helping them become more independent in that. One of the two still needs to be swaddled tightly, with her ear covered. She's almost 4. We'd like to try having us stay in the room with her first. I'm curious if that's feasible by now.
I usually put him to bed at 10pm, now only around midnight because otherwise I have nothing for my evening, but that's secondary. The main thing is that it's been going so well for the past few nights.
Hahaha Sofie, they do end up using everything against you in the end, don't they? Our son is 4. He had a couple of weeks of primary school before the holidays. I'm looking forward to that routine again now.
