Breech birth, what about pushing out the contractions?

Hi everyone,
I've been looking around the site, but I couldn't find a topic about this.
This is my 4th time giving birth, so nothing new there. But this time it's going to be a breech birth. And I keep wondering, 'what if I get pushing contractions, but my cervix isn't fully dilated yet, so I have to suppress that urge to push?'
How do you do that? And who has experience with a breech birth? Is it true that you have to blow those pushing contractions away?
I'm almost 38 weeks now, the end is in sight.

No experience with a breech birth, but I’ve had 3 normal deliveries, including the last one where I had to blow through the pushing contractions (full dilation, but the baby was still way too high; the doctor wanted to give the baby a chance to descend). Almost unbearable. I still kind of pushed along, but I could feel how far I could go, which was quite special.

There’s definitely a difference between letting your body do what it wants versus pushing with everything you’ve got until your head turns blue...

Good luck, the last stretch is always the heaviest. You’ve got this!
