  1. Suuske Guest #41

We have a Hannah and a Roos.
We knew the gender beforehand, so we didn't have a boy's name in mind for either of them.

Here’s a boy and two girls:
Beau Xander Jacob, 7 years old
Jolie Xanne Eveline, 2 years old
Lilou Xanthe Charlotte, 2 years old
  5. Lot #45

My daughter is named Maeve Charlotte Lesly... It's going to be a challenge to find another unique name that fits well with Maeve for a second child. I don't have any ideas yet.
If she had been a boy, she would have been called Vik, Sep, or Zef Charlie (or a name my niece chose herself, which is also her baptismal name) Lesly.
  6. Marie Guest #46

Our daughter is named Silke Jolijn,
The boy's name we had in mind, I'll share later,
That name is currently at the top for number 2, if it's a boy.

How funny! We have a Cato and the second one is due in 2 weeks and it will probably be called Doris. I think we have exactly the same taste!
What else did you have on your list? We're still not quite sure.. Haha
  14. famke123 #54

Here are two girls and we're expecting a third girl.
Our oldest is called: Doris Leentje Sophie
Our youngest is called: Catoo Sarah Guusje
Our third little one will get the following name:
    Noortje Hannah Leonie.

    Viv

What other names did you have on your list? We're still not quite decided.. Haha
  15. Loes Guest #55

Our daughter has been born. She's named Runa, full name Runa Celia Marie. If she had been a boy, we would have gone with Guus, full name Guus Jurre Thomas.
  16. Viv Guest #56

    Femke123,
That's so funny, indeed! Since we already had a Doris and a Catoo, we wanted name #3 to also have an 'o' in it. So it ended up being Noortje. But the other names that made the cut (and some are quite different haha):
    Doris, Catoo and... Saar - Lola - Fien - Jip - Fieke - Jet - Daniek - Suus/Suze - Janne/Janna
And for a possible boy, we had Moos on our list. Other names we still thought were nice were Siem and Ferre.

    Femke123,
How funny, indeed! Since we already had a Doris and a Catoo, we wanted a name with an 'o' for number 3. So that became Noortje in the end. But the other names that made the cut were (and some are quite different haha):

Then we really have the same taste, because there are again names on that list that are also on ours (Suze/Fien). Are you still happy with the choice of Doris? My hormones sometimes make me wonder if some people see it as too 'masculine'. So I'd love to hear from someone with experience
    Viv
  18. Viv Guest #58

Femke123, Yes, absolutely! We only get nice comments. When our youngest was born, Noortje, I was more afraid of negative reactions. It is a diminutive name after all. But my family liked it, friends didn't always, but it's not their child so what. She won't be teased with it.
We still find Doris cool, spicy, but definitely girly. A lovely name. It does rhyme, but with Catoo that's more obvious and that rarely happens. I'd know it, Doris is cool!
  19. Viv Guest #59

Femke123, adding: if it's seen as masculine, it's not really an issue. What helps is that her baptismal names are quite girly. But teachers and acquaintances etc. don't have any trouble with it. They just find it cool, and that's exactly what we liked about it. If you ask me, there are more masculine girl names (and plenty of girls who actually get boy names), but I'm biased, of course, haha!
  20. Elisabeth24 #60

We have two daughters. We only decided on the names once we knew what we were having, so we didn’t have any boy names picked out.
Our oldest daughter is named: Vanessa Johanna Jane
    And our youngest: Lyanne
