Complete breech birth

Hi!
On Monday I’ll be 37 weeks pregnant, and our baby is in a complete breech position. They tried to turn the baby yesterday, but it didn’t work. On Thursday we have a discussion about whether to have a vaginal birth or a C-section. But are there any people here who’ve had a complete breech birth? I only see posts on forums about partial or incomplete breech births.

Kind regards, Britt

Hi Britt, that sounds tricky.. But I wouldn't opt for a normal birth, but really a C-section, but well, that's me..
Here's an article about breech birth. Good luck

Love and wishing you a good birth in advance, whatever you decide.

Hi! I had a complete breech delivery for the second twin. So one baby had already been born head-first, and there was a half-hour gap between them.
I found pushing quite intense, and I was also overwhelmed by the first baby being born so quickly. But I didn’t feel how I should push properly. You first guide the feet/bottom out, and only when the back came out could I push effectively because I felt something was happening. The head just kind of twisted out, and there he was! I’d much rather have a head-first birth! But it was doable though (6 minutes of pushing vs. 2 minutes for the head-first one, but that one was already engaged).
Listen carefully to your obstetrician’s advice—they know your situation best and can tailor their guidance. And listen to yourself: does it feel right to you?
