after the birth

Just a quick question I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl a little over 2 weeks ago. The delivery went smoothly without complications, and she was born after just 20 minutes of pushing. Unfortunately, I did get an episiotomy. My question is: how quickly did things down there start to feel normal again for you all? And I'm not talking about the episiotomy scar..

For me, the area between my labia, from the vagina up to after the urethra, is still quite swollen—though a bit less than in the first week. My clitoris is also still very painful if I accidentally brush against it sorry for the details.. I'm curious to hear your experiences!

Pretty quickly back to normal for me, though I did have a few months where the scar would sometimes ache. I don't recognize that sensitivity.
If you're really bothered by your scar, I'd suggest popping by your GP or waiting for your follow-up with the midwife. Sometimes a stitch just isn't sitting quite right, so it's better to discuss that than to be in a lot of discomfort! But I think it also takes a little time.

    hey,
I had a tear repaired, but unfortunately, it tore further. For me, the worst pain was gone after 6 weeks, and by 12 weeks, I was fully healed. For me, Iso-Betatine gynecological solution really helped with healing.
    greetings
