mucus plug?

Hey ladies 
I'm 40+6 weeks pregnant today. Unfortunately, no signs of labor yet, but yesterday I suddenly had a lot of clear mucus with white streaks. And this morning when I got out of bed and went to the toilet, I thought I saw the mucus plug – quite a large piece of mucus, clear with white streaks in it. In my opinion, I've never seen such a big piece of mucus before Maybe about 2 cm long and 1 cm thick or something (sorry for the grossness). Could this be the mucus plug? (Even though I also had a lot of smaller pieces of this kind of mucus yesterday)

So it could indeed be the start of labor, half 9 mucus plug, half twelve water broke and now full-on cramps/early contractions. -
