Interesting question.. I'm just following along, I'm also pregnant with my first and still debating whether to go to the hospital or stay at home.

Hi there! I think that screaming really depends on the person! During pregnancy, you also have quiet girls and very loud ones, right? So it depends on how you are yourself. The advantage of a hospital is that you can get pain relief, and if you want to give birth at home, that's only possible if the midwife agrees. Suppose you're halfway through and she insists you need to go to the hospital, that can also be very difficult! And if you agree well with the midwife that you don't want to wait too long, she can definitely help!

Hihi, I’m a quiet birther.. I’m very calm, so calm that the maternity nurse thought with my youngest that it would still take a while, while I was on the hardest part. I’m just very concentrated in my own little world..
Maybe you can think about what you do yourself when you bump yourself or something. Do you scream it out loud or do you hold it in..
Home birth is nice! Unfortunately, I had to go to the hospital for the first one due to prolonged rupture of membranes and contractions that didn’t get going well. But the other 2 were born at home, very relaxed.

Yeah, that sounds nice to me too! But I also found it reassuring that there’s all the help available at the hospital if things don’t go as planned!

If you’re a quiet birther, are you also a quiet enjoyer? Then my story makes sense, hehe!

It really varies from woman to woman! And at the moment, you really aren't thinking about what kind of noise you're making! As long as the baby comes out and it's over, and sometimes screaming during labor can feel really good and relieving! It's like a kind of release haha. I've given birth both at home and in the hospital... first in the hospital because I didn't know what to expect... second and third at home, and now for the fourth, I'm going back to the hospital. Being in your own home is really nice, that's true, it's your own environment, but I did find it a downside that during my first home birth, even my wall got covered in blood, and during the second, I was half off the bed pushing. Both children ended up in the hospital anyway. With a hospital birth, it's nice that all the mess is there haha, they have good labor beds with supports, and you're well checked before discharge. Also, I want to give birth in the hospital again now because otherwise, I'd have 3 kids standing by my bed when I'm in labor and they'd notice haha! But as it worked out for me, it doesn't have to be like that for you! It also depends on the midwife etc. I just want to say that although home birth is incredibly nice, and those hospital visits aren't necessarily related to home birth and could just be coincidence. Now I'd rather just give birth in the hospital and then go home nice and clean hahaha.
