The 'pill' weeks went by pretty quickly for me. And it was nice to finally get some rest without all those (intense) hormones. Hope that goes by quickly for you too.
    Coincidentally! I'm in Tilburg too!

I find the pill-free weeks really drag on! Quick question: when you finish the pill, do you get your period first and then start the injections? Or do you just continue right away?
    Liesje, how are you doing?
I just hope I’m producing enough eggs. I was stimulated with IUI and my eggs came along really quickly. Is that a good sign, or does it mean nothing at all?
  3. liesje193 #63

Things are going well now. I had 10 Decapeptyl injections. At first, I was nauseous and very tired all day, but luckily it's better now. I had to take the pill for a week and inject Decapeptyl at the same time. Both times, I had light bleeding a few days after stopping the pill. On Thursday, I start with Gronal. I find it very nerve-wracking. Luckily, I have a week off after that.

    Love, Lisette

Good luck, sweetie!! This time definitely a much better result! I'll be cheering for you, girl!!
Ellie, have you had an ultrasound yet?
We started with Decapeptyl here today. Still 3 days of pills left. Gonal F is set at 150iu. I just don't know yet when I'm allowed to start with it.
    Love, xxx
  5. liesje193 #65

@c81 how are you doing with the injections? Do you already know when you're going to start with the Gronal F?
I've now been injecting Gronal F for 4 days. It does sometimes hurt a bit in my right ovary, so that's a good sign that things are ripening. On Thursday, I can come back for the first ultrasound check.
I'm in Utrecht and I'm very happy with it, luckily.

@ellie how are you doing? How many weeks are you at now? Have you had an ultrasound yet?
  6. C81 #66

Hi Liesje! Let's hope so, girl! That would be great! Let me know on Thursday.
I got my period yesterday, so hopefully I'll start with Gonal-F today. I'll call later to make an appointment for the ultrasound.
    Ellie, how are you doing??
  7. liesje193 #67

Just had the ultrasound. I have 4 follicles at 12 mm, 1 at 11.5 mm, and 6 between 7.5 and 9.5 mm. Hopefully, the last 6 will keep growing and not stop; anything under 12 mm was still uncertain. I have another ultrasound on Sunday, so hopefully, we'll know then if they've all continued to grow. It would be really nice if all 11 eggs grow enough for the retrieval.
  8. C81 #68

Yes, that would indeed be super, Liesje!! Great opportunities then, anyway!
I've also started with stimulation. I've been having a lot of headaches and fatigue. Monday is the first follicle scan. I'm curious... keep me posted, Liesje!
  9. Ellie Guest #69

Good luck, ladies, with the injections!! Hopefully, the hormones don't get too out of hand.

Unfortunately, not much news from us.
Last week, at 8 weeks, we had a miscarriage.
It was really intense and sad.
So no Emmy to put in the freezer, which means we have to start over from zero.
But it's possible... and that's already comforting, because we can hold on to that.
    Love,
  10. C81 #70

Oh dear Ellie, that's so incredibly sad!! Wishing you lots of strength with the loss .
  11. liesje193 #71

Ellie, sending you so much strength with your loss, it's truly really tough. It's good that you're holding on to the thought that it's possible. Hopefully, you'll be pregnant again soon and everything will be okay now.
@C81 how was your follicle scan?
I'm allowed to have the puncture on Wednesday. The eggs grew 1 mm per day in the past few days, and then suddenly 3 mm yesterday, so they're growing super fast now. I hope the little ones keep growing like this. They expect to be able to puncture between 7 and 11 egg bladders now. So hopefully, they'll find an egg in all of them.
I do have a lot of stomach discomfort right now, pants are really uncomfortable, so luckily it's nice weather for dresses and skirts. And unfortunately, I'm nauseous and have a headache again.
I'm staying home today and tomorrow to give myself some rest. I work with kids and really didn't feel like going to an amusement park now. My boss doesn't understand what I'm going through, and I'm leaving soon because my contract isn't being renewed. I'm sure it's because of the ICSI, but I don't want to work for a boss with absolutely no understanding of the situation for much longer either.

So now I'm busy applying, which gives me nice quiet time for that.
  12. C81 #72

Liesje, at least you already have a nice result in terms of eggs! I hope you find another job that fits soon. Good luck on Wednesday!
Here it wasn't so good. Gonal was increased to 225. I only had 5 to 6 eggs in total, of which 2 to 3 were dominant at 12mm. Back on Thursday. If it stays at 2 to 3 eggs, it'll be an IUI cycle.
  13. liesje193 #73

    C81 good luck tomorrow!
The puncture went well here, though I had a lot of pain. But they found 11 eggs, I'm super happy about that. We'll be called on Saturday morning about the embryos, and in the afternoon is the transfer.
  14. C81 #74

What a super score, sweetie!! Things are going to work out for you, girl!
I have a bad feeling about this. I don’t have any fertile mucus at all. Not even a single drop of discharge. I’m afraid that nothing will continue to grow and the attempt will be canceled . I also had a thin uterine lining of 3mm on Monday.
  15. liesje193 #75

@c81 how are you doing now? Did they do an IUI?
@ellie how are you doing? Have you gotten a new schedule yet?
Here, one was postponed on Saturday and I'll get a letter in the next two weeks about whether the other three are frozen. Exciting waiting weeks!
On my doctor's advice, I'm not allowed to work this week because I have to stand a lot, bend over, etc.
I need to first try to do things around the house. If that goes well without pain, I can slowly build up my work. That gives me some peace, so I'm really happy with the advice.
  16. C81 #76

Oh super sweet!! I'll be rooting for you for a plakkertje
    Ellie, how are you doing?
After a lot of stimulation with 300ish, I got to hear yesterday that I have 5 growing follicles around 14/15/16 mm. And one smaller one of 10mm. Going back on Tuesday and hopefully later this week the puncture. I suddenly lost a big chunk of fertile mucus mixed with old blood this morning. Is that a good sign?
  17. liesje193 #77

Doesn't sound great to have so many units, but luckily it does have an effect. I really hope they find the 6 eggs during the puncture.
Did they say anything about the quality of your uterine lining?
    How are you doing yourself?
  18. C81 #78

The uterine lining was good, 10mm. Well, I'm really struggling with the Decapeptyl. Especially the physical symptoms. Otherwise, I'm just trying to let it wash over me. There's nothing I can do about it anyway. Things are what they are, and I'm taking it one step at a time, going through everything. How are you feeling? Different from last time?
  19. Elliie Guest #79

    Hi ladies.
Things are a bit better for me now. Had some very emotional weeks and was really sad. Trying to be a bit more positive again. We could start again after 2 periods. Maybe that'll be somewhere in November. First I need to catch my breath. Exciting time for you guys. C81, how are you experiencing it all so far? And Liesje, super exciting weeks for you. Waiting feels so long, doesn't it!!
  20. C81 #80

Hi ladies! I'm now in the waiting weeks. I had 5 eggs, 4 of which were fertilized. Last Sunday I had the transfer and today I found out we still have 2 cryos left. So having a lot of follicles doesn't mean anything at all! I only had 5 but all 5 had eggs! Just one more week to wait.
Ellie, just take some time to recover and then go for it again! Wishing you lots of success, girl!
    Liesje, how are you doing?
