I came across this by chance (had some free time during the night shift
) - might be interesting to read. Better safe than sorry

Liesje, what a thrilling day! Tomorrow is going to be super exciting for you guys! I'm crossing my fingers that there's a beautiful baby in there, surely there is! What kind of anesthesia did you get? Keep us posted!
Chantie, thanks for the tip!!
My gut feeling was right here. I got my period today. In two weeks, it'll be attempt 3, but I feel like we have a better chance with IVF. Hopefully, we can start right after this attempt. -

Liesje, hopefully you had good news??? -

Yes, yesterday one good embryo was transferred. Unfortunately, there were only 2 eggs usable for ICSI, so that was quite disappointing. Luckily, one of them was fertilized and developed well.
Now, just a long wait until I can test.
I had local anesthesia, so an IV wasn't necessary, but it was an option if I wanted it. -

Liesje, how are you feeling now? You've got a little miracle on the way in your belly. Are there any tips/advice you've received for this period? When can you test now? Sorry for all the questions, but I just find it exciting for you

Liesje, what a suspenseful moment!
Do you have Utrogestan with you? Wishing you lots of strength for the next 2 weeks. Keep yourself busy. The waiting weeks are killing
I hope for a positive test for you after the waiting weeks. I'll keep reading along here. I find it so suspenseful for you both!

Hi! Sunday the test was negative, and since Sunday evening I've had light bleeding. I don't have any cramps or clots. Normally I get really bad cramps in my stomach during the first few days. From today I was supposed to stop taking Utrogestan. So now it's a wait-and-see whether the bleeding continues or hopefully stops, and I'm actually pregnant.
I'll test again next weekend if the light bleeding has stopped.
C81, that's great that you're having so many sperm now, keep it up! But I understand your doubt. Hopefully it's a success this time and you won't need IUI or IVF anymore.
Ellie, how are you doing? -

Hi everyone,
Wow, what a twist in both stories.
I really hoped for you, that you'd have a positive test and could surprise both mothers on Mother's Day. Do you have a feeling yourself? And is it normal that you're having light bleeding?
C81, what a coincidence that the number is so high now. I completely understand that it feels weird right now, since you were counting on ICSI. But it's nice that there are still options. And see it as an extra chance to try IUI.
I've been on the pill for 3 weeks now, just one more week and then I can stop. Probably starting from June 2nd I'll start injections, and about a week later the puncture (if my body reacts less intensely to the new medications this time). It's nice that it's almost time again. And I know what to expect now.
I hope the IUI works out for you, that the test is positive and the bleeding doesn't continue. Cheering for you ladies! -

Wow, so exciting ladies. And another twist in both stories. It's really bizarre how these things keep going in different directions.
I totally get it, c81, that this feels very strange, like an outlier. But try to see it as an extra chance to still make your dream come true and that ICSI is still possible.
But I really hope it works out for you guys.
Liedje, wow, that's so stressful. Does a light bleeding episode happen more often? Do you have a feeling about it yourself? That's such a shame, I had really hoped you could surprise your mom on Mother's Day.
Meanwhile, I've been on the pill for 3 weeks now, starting injections again from early June, and hopefully the puncture around the 10th. It's really nice that hopefully it can proceed now, and I hope my body doesn't react too strongly to the other injections. And it's also good that I now know what to expect.
I'm rooting for you guys, ladies! -

Oh Liesje, that sounds exhausting. I hope it stops and that you're pregnant, girl! I'll be cheering really hard for you!! Do you know if you have any frozen embryos? -
sabrina #31
Hi everyone! I also did ICSI and got lucky on the first try. But I had been trying to get pregnant for 5 years already. -

Sabrina, heartfelt congratulations, girl!! It's nice to hear a positive story
-

thank you so much! yeah, i couldn't believe it at first, but when they said twice, "ma'am, you're pregnant," i was super happy, of course

Unfortunately, I didn't get pregnant, and only one egg was successfully fertilized, so there are no embryos to freeze.
Now I'm taking a break. On June 22nd, we'll hear the new schedule. On one hand, it's nice to have some rest, but on the other hand, I want to move forward as soon as possible. -

Oh my, intense Liesje! Did you feel pregnant lately? Or did you already have a feeling? Hopefully, you can start again soon. I'm rooting for you! -

Liesje, sending you lots of strength, girl! That's so sad...
Ellie, good luck on Wednesday! Let us know how it went

Had the puncture today. I found it quite disappointing though. The injections are really nasty!! In the end, they found 5 good eggs. So hopefully, I'll get to have the transfer on Saturday. So exciting! -
C81 #39
Ellie, how exciting!! I hope there's a really nice one in there that stays put

Exciting! I hope you get a nice ultrasound tomorrow. Did you cough on purpose during the anesthesia? I can relate to that; I had to take deep breaths for the puncture needle.
